What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
A226 Rochester Road, Gravesend, DA12 2QZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of the installation of a toucan crossing, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A226 Rochester Road, Gravesend, from 30th March 2024 to 14th April 2024 between 19.30hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Empress Road and Denton Court Road.
Fixed Closure between: Denton Court Road and Empress Road.
No Through Traffic: from Harmer Street to Empress Road and B261 Old Rd East Roundabout to Denton Court Road.
Diversion: (West Travel) – B261 Old Road East, B261 Old Road West, A227 Wrotham Road, A226 Rathmore Road, A226 Darnley Road, A226 Bath Street, A226 West Street, A226 Crooked Lane, A226 The Terrace and A226 Harmer Street.
(East Travel) - A226 Milton Road, A226 Parrock Street, A226 Lord Street, A226 Windmill Street, A226 Woodville Place, A227 Wrotham Road, B261 Old Road West and B261 Old Road East.
Pear Tree Lane, Shorne, DA12 3JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pear Tree Lane, Shorne, on or after 25th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside St Margaret’s.
The alternative route is via Pear Tree Lane, A226 Gravesend Road, Forge Lane, The Street, Tanyard Hill, Woodlands Lane and vice versa.
