What is happening?

West Sussex County Council

(Funtington: Watery Lane) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the section of Watery Lane between Watery Lodge and Balsams Farm.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst drainage works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 20 March 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. The road will be reopened once it is safe to do so.

(Chichester: Clay Lane) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Clay Lane.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst highway works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 14 March 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 14 March 2024 and will take 2 weeks to complete. Any queries about the works to take place should be directed to Mildren Construction, telephone number 07584 259075. Any queries about the effect of the Order on vehicles using the highway should be directed to WSCC, telephone number 01243 642105.

(Midhurst: Ashfield Road) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice West Sussex County Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Ashfield Road between the A272 Petersfield Road and the A286 Bepton Road.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst a highway improvement works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 2 April 2024 and will last for 18 months. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 2 April 2024 and will take 2 weeks to complete.

(Bosham: Shore Road) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Shore Road between. The Drive and Meadow House.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst repairs to the sea wall are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 1 April 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 1 April 2024 and will take 3 months to complete.
