What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC HERTFORD 54
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, cyclists and vehicles from using that length of Byway Open to All Traffic Hertford 54, heading southwest from junction with Horns Road, for an approximate distance of 250m.
Alternative Route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network
The purpose of the Order is to enable maintenance works to take place.
The section of Byway Open to All Traffic Hertford 54 will be closed on or after 29 March 2024 for up to 1 week, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A119 HIGH ROAD, WATERFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A119 High Road, Waterford from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.47 High Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A119 (High Road/North Road/Cross Lane), A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link), A10 (unnamed road), A602 (Wadesmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road) and A119 (Hertford Road/High Road).
The Order is needed because electrical repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A10 Great Cambridge Road, Cheshunt and A10 (unnamed road), Turnford/Hoddesdon from its junction with the B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way/A121 Winston Churchill Way roundabout northwards, north eastwards, north westwards, north eastwards, northwards and north eastwards to a point in line with the A10 northbound slip road leading from the A10 Hoddesdon Link Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 9028m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road), the M25, the A1(M), A414 (Great North Road/Hertford Road/Hatfield Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link) and A10 (unnamed road) or via A10 (unnamed road), A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road/Hertford Road/Mount Pleasant Lane/Great North Road), the A1(M), the M25 and A10 (unnamed road) or via A121 Winston Churchill Way, B176 (High Street/Crossbrook Street/Turners Hill/High Street/Cheshunt Wash/High Road), A1170 (High Road/High Street/Charlton Way/Dinant Link Road) and A10 (Hoddesdon Link Road/unnamed road).
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HERTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the eastbound carriageway of A414 Hertingfordbury Road into Becketts, Hertford, whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via A414 Hertingfordbury Road.
2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the westbound carriageway of A414 Hertingfordbury Road into the central reservation opposite Becketts, whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via A414 Hertingfordbury Road.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicles from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A10 Great Cambridge Road, Cheshunt from its junction with the B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way/A121 Winston Churchill Way roundabout northwards, north westwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Church Lane (“the Road”), a distance of approximately 1914m.
The Order is needed because the construction of new telecoms chamber is proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Barbel Close, Waltham Cross from its junction with Longcroft Drive north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Gilston Lane, Gilston from its junction with Pye Corner north westwards to its junction with 3U172 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 1546m.
An alternative route will be via Pye Corner, High Wych Road, High Wych Lane, Bakers Lane and 3U172 (unnamed road).
3. that length of Church Lane, Gilston from its junction with Gilston Lane north westwards to its junction with Eastwick and Gilston Restricted Byway No.024, a distance of approximately 180m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

1. the A10 northbound slip road leading onto the A10 Turnford Link Road roundabout, Turnford from its junction with the northbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road) north westwards to its junction with the A10 Turnford Link Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 330m.
An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road), the A10 Hoddesdon Link Road roundabout and A10 (unnamed road).
2. the A10 northbound slip road leading from the A10 Turnford Link Road roundabout, Turnford from its junction with the A10 Turnford Link Road roundabout north eastwards and northwards to its junction with the northbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 596m.
An alternative route will be via A10 Turnford Link Road, A1170 Great Cambridge Road, A10 Great Cambridge Road, the A121 Winston Churchill Way/B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way roundabout and A10 (Great Cambridge Road/unnamed road).
3. the A10 southbound slip road leading onto the A10 Turnford Link Road roundabout, Hoddesdon from its junction with the southbound
carriageway of A10 (unnamed road) south eastwards to its junction with the A10 Turnford Link Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 285m.
An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road/Great Cambridge Road), the A121 Winston Churchill Way/B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way roundabout and A10 (Great Cambridge Road/unnamed road).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

1. that length of Cappell Lane, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with B181 High Street north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Hollycross Road, a distance of approximately 823m.
An alternative route will be via B181 (High Street/Station Road), A1170 (Pepper Hill/Amwell Hill/London Road/Viaduct Road/Bridge Foot), B1004 (Star Street/Widbury Hill) and Hollycross Road.
2. that length of South Street, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with B181 High Street south eastwards for its entire length.
