What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 - KIRKLEES COUNCIL
(CLIFF LANE/BACK LANE, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Holmfirth:-
Cliff Lane - from its junction with Cliffe Street to its junction with Bunkers Hill
Back Lane - from its junction with Cliffe Street to its junction with Station Road
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
Cliff Lane - via Cliffe Street, Cliff Road, Wooldale Cliff Road, State Lane Bank, Cinder Hills Road, South Lane, Back Lane and vice versa;
Back Lane - via Station Road, Town Gate, Dunford Road, South Lane, Back Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 2nd April 2024 and remain in force until 4th April 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(NORTHGATE, HONLEY, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Northgate, Honley from its junction with Hey Lane to its junction with Station Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Hey Lane, Ashes Lane, High Lane, Jackroyd Lane, Newsome Road South, Bridge Street, Waingate, Parkgate, Woodhead Road, Huddersfield Road, Station Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 1st April 2024 and remain in force until 29th May 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(CROW LANE, MILNSBRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD )
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Milnsbridge, Huddersfield as follows:-
Road Closure
Crow Lane - from its junction with Royd Street to its junction with Scar Lane
Point Closure
Savile Street - at its junction with Crow Lane
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Royd Street, Greenway, Sycamore Avenue, Scar Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 1st April 2024 and remain in force until 7th April 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(MOORLANDS, SCHOLES, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the whole length of Moorlands, Scholes from its junction with Scholes Moor Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
There is no alternative diversionary route available. Access maintained for residents and Emergency Service Vehicles only.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 1st April 2024 and remain in force until 12th April 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(DALTON BANK ROAD, COLNE BRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dalton Bank Road, Colne Bridge from a point outside property no. 127 to a point outside property no. 83 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Dalton Bank Road, Nettleton Road, Sutton Avenue, Crossley Lane, School Lane, St Mary’s Lane, Shop Lane, New Road, Bog Green Lane, Dalton Bank Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on Saturday, 16th March 2024 between 08:00 - 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(HEATHERFIELD CRESCENT, MARSH, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Heatherfield Crescent, Marsh from a point outside property no. 3 to a point outside property no. 11
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Heatherfield Crescent, Heatherfield Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday, 18th March 2024 between 09:30 - 13:30 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(CLOUGH ROAD/CRIMBLE CLOUGH ROAD, SLAITHWAITE/BOLSTER MOOR, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Clough Road/Crimble Clough Road, Slaithwaite/Bolster Moor from its junction with Radcliffe Road to a point outside property no. 31 Clough Road
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Clough Road, Slaithwaite Gate, Pike Law Road, Swallow Lane, Town End, Church Street, Knowl Road, James Street, Brook Lane, Share Hill Road, Lower Wellhouse Road, Radcliffe Road, Carr Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 18th March 2024 and remain in force until 23rd March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(TRINITY STREET, HUDDERSFIELD (PART)) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of outbound cycle lane on Trinity Street, Huddersfield from its junction with Castlegate to its junction with Greenhead Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route for cyclists affected by the closure will be available in the adjacent traffic lane.
It is intended that the restriction will commence on Tuesday, 19th March 2024 and remain in force until 21st March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(DICK EDGE LANE, CUMBERWORTH, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dick Edge Lane, Cumberworth from a point outside Cloud Berry Farm to its junction with Slack Terrace
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Dick Edge Lane, Windmill Lane, Hey Slack Lane, Mill Shaw Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 20th March 2024 and remain in force until 22nd March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(TUDOR STREET/STOCKERHEAD LANE, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Slaithwaite, Huddersfield:-
Road Closure
Tudor Street/Stockerhead Lane - from its junction with Linfit Lane to its junction with Hollins Glen
Point Closures
Gordan Street - at its junction with Tudor Street Glen Side Road - at its junction with Stockerhead Lane
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Linfit Lane, Linfit Fold, Manchester Road, Commercial Street, Hollins Glen and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 18th March 2024 and remain in force until 29th March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(STONES LANE, LINTHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Stones Lane, Linthwaite from a point outside property no. 1 to a point outside property no. 12 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Stones Lane, Upper Clough Road, Clough Drive, Blackmoorfoot Road, Gillroyd Lane, Causeway Side, Waingate and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday, 21st March 2024 and remain in force until 22nd March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(RYECROFT LANE, SCHOLES, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Ryecroft Lane, Scholes from its junction with Stanley Park Farm to a point outside property no. 35 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Ryecroft Lane, Sandy Gate, Scholes Moor Road, Cross Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday, 18th March 2024 between 08:00 - 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH HOL/52/30, NEW MILL, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in that length of Public Footpath HOL/52/30, New Mill from its junction with New Mill Road to its junction with footpath to rear of 52-62 Holmfirth Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out the proposed works.
Alternative routes for persons affected by the closure will be available via New Mill Road, Bromley Avenue, Footpath to rear of 52-62 Holmfirth Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 19th March 2024 and remain in force until 25th March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 6 months if necessary).
(WEST END, NETHERTHONG, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that short length of West End, Netherthong at a point outside property no. 51 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via New Road, Huddersfield Road, Woodhead Road, Eastgate, Westgate, Moorbottom, Bradshaw Road, Knoll Lane, Moor Lane, West End and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 20th March 2024 and remain in force until 22nd March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(DALTON BANK ROAD, DALTON/COLNE BRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dalton Bank Road, Dalton/Colne Bridge from its junction with Jagger Lane to its junction with Bog Green Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
Diversion 1 - via Nettleton Road, Briggate, Long Lane, Broad Lane, A629 Wakefield Road, A62 Southgate, A62 Leeds Road, A62 Cooper Bridge Road, Cooper Bridge roundabout, A62 Cooper Bridge Road, Colne Bridge Road;
Diverseion 2 - Colne Bridge Road, A62 Leeds Road, A62 Southgate, A62 Wakefield Road, Broad Lane, Long Lane, Briggate, Nettleton Road.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 19th March 2024 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 27th February 2024 and will remain in force until 31st March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
