Various Roads In Elmbridge - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic To Facilitate Fine Milling Works
What is happening?
THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL
Footpath from Woodbridge Road to D4003 Woodbridge Meadows Rights of Way route 6 (T7080), Guildford Temporary Closure Order 2024
On 13 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding in the entire length of the footpath from Woodbridge Road to D4003 Woodbridge Meadows – Rights of Way route 6 (T7080), Guildford. This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail to safely carry out inspections and/or repairs and/or maintenance works to the “River Wey Footbridge”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm within 6 weeks of the 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained via the footway to A322 Woodbridge Road, A25 Woodbridge Road and D4003 Woodridge Meadows.
Fairmile Lane (C157) Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 13 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Fairmile Lane (C157) Cobham as extends from its junction with (D6857) Fairbourne to its junction with (D6880) Leigh Hill Road. Alternative Route: Leigh Hill Road, (A245) Stoke Road, (A45) Mill Road, (A245) High Street, (A245) Between Streets, (A307) Portsmouth Road, and Fairmile Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate electrical utility works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) (a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Cheselden Road (D4014) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 13 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Cheselden Road (D4014 ) Guildford. Alternative Route: (1) Harvey Road, Bright Hill, and Sydenham Road; and (2) Sydenham Road, Jenner Road, and Harvey Road. This Order is required to facilitate underground utility works for, or on behalf of Road Traffic Solutions. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Alfold Road (D182) Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 13 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Alfold Road (D182) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (X68796) Tuckers Drive to its junction with (X11306) Lorimer Avenue. Alternative Route: Alfold Road, (B2130) Elmbridge Road, (A281) Horsham Road, (A281) Guildford Road, and Alfold Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water and foul water connection works for, or on behalf of Walker Construction (UK) Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 4 phases within 6 weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Commercial Road (D3292) Staines Upon Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 13 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Commercial Road (D3292) Staines Upon Thames as extends from its junction with (B376) Laleham Road to its junction with (D3292) Parkside Place. Alternative Route: Commercial Road, Worple Road, and (B376) Laleham Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrison Energy Services. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 weeks between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Brighton Road (B2130) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 13 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brighton Road (B2130) Godalming as extends from its junction with (A3100) Flambard Way to its junction with (D5427) Croft Road. Alternative Route: (B2130) Brighton Road, The Drive, Park Road, Tuesley Lane, Shackstead Lane, (A3100) Ockford Road, (A3100) Flambard Way, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new drainage connection works for, or on behalf of Natta Building Company. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 17 days between the hours of 7am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
High Street (A308), London Road (A308), and (C248) Kingston Road Staines Upon Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 13 March 2024 Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) the eastbound ahead only lane of High Street (A308) and London Road (A308) Staines Upon Thames as extends from its junction with the western junction of (D3282) Fairfield Avenue to a point of 27 metres north-east of its junction with (C248) Kingston Road; (b) the southwestern dedicated left turn lane leading from Kingston Road (C248) Staines Upon Thames north-westbound onto (A308) High Street westbound as extends from a point approximately 47 metres south east of its junction with (A308) High Street in the vicinity of the bus shelter junction with the (A308) High Street; and (c) the westbound ahead only lane of the (A308) High Street Staines Upon Thames as extends from its junction with (C248) Kingston Road and for a distance of approximately 40 metres. This Order is required to carry out traffic signalling refurbishment works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 days, between the hours of 7am and 7pm during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 March 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. All other vehicular traffic including residents and businesses will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) (a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Alternative Route: (D3282) Fairfield Avenue.
Blackwater Valley Road (A331) Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 13 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) the entire length of the southbound exit slip road classified as the “A331” as extends from its junction with (A331) Blackwater Valley Road to its junction at the roundabout with (A323) Aldershot Road; (b) the entire length of the northbound exit slip road classified as the “A331” as extends from its junction with (A331) Blackwater Valley Road to its junction at its roundabout with (A323) Aldershot Road; (c) the entire length of the southbound entry slip road classified as the “A331” as extends from its junction at the roundabout with the (A323) Aldershot Road to its junction with (A331) Blackwater Valley Road; (d) the entire length of the northbound entry slip road classified as the “A331” as extends from its junction at the roundabout with the (A323) Aldershot Road to its junction with (A331) Blackwater Valley Road. Alternative Route: (1) (A331) Blackwater Valley Road, (A31) Runfold Diversion, and (A331) Blackwater Valley Road; (2) (A331) Blackwater Valley Road, (A3011) Lynchford Road, and (A331) Blackwater Valley Road. This Order is required for improvement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night between 8pm and 5am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
B2039 Ockham Road South, East Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B2039 Ockham Road South, East Horsley that is crossed by the “Horsley Station, Railway Bridge” and for a distance of 20m either side. This Traffic Order is required to enable Dyer and Butler/Network Rail to erect scaffolding and/or to carry out inspections and/or repairs, maintenance and/or improvement works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 4pm, within 5 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole access to any property will be affected. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: –
Ockham Road South, Guildford Road, Epsom Road, The Street, Clandon Road, Portsmouth Road, High Street, Portsmouth Road, Ockham Road North and Ockham Road South.
Various Roads in Spelthorne Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate fine milling works, resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Woodbridge Hill (D4022), Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodbridge Hill (D4022), Guildford which extends from its junction with Aldershot Road (A322) to its junction with Weston Road (D4002). Alternative Route – Aldershot Road (A322), Dennis Roundabout (A25), Aldershot Road (A322), Worplesdon Road (A322), Stoughton Road (D4023) and Manor Road (D4022) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 10:30am and 4:30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 2 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, emergency vehicles, residents and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
