What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY

(GREEN SCHEME WORKS, MANSFIELD
TOWN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (M24-036)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire
County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
in respect of roads at Mansfield Town in the District of
Mansfield.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the
following length of road: -
a. King George V Avenue - from its junction with A6191
Southwell Road West to its junction with Harvey Road.
b. Tudor Avenue - for its full length of road.
c. Barringer Road - from its junction with B6033
Ravensdale Road to its junction with Sanders Avenue.
d. Coronation Drive - from its junction with A6117 in a
south westerly direction for a distance of 30 metres.
e. Pump Hollow Road (Side Road) - from a point 20
metres in a north westerly direction from its junction with
Coronation Drive to a point 20 metres in a south-easterly
direction from its junction with Coronation Drive.
f. Oak Tree Lane (Side Road) - from its northerly junction
with A6117 Oak Tree Lane in a southerly direction for a
distance of 350 metres.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and
unloading in the following length of road: -
a. Melrose Avenue (Both sides, 00:01-23:59) - for its full
length of road.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above
road or roads will apply as follows:
From 00:01 hours on Monday 18th March 2024
Until 17:30 hours on Friday 11th October 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during
the period of restriction the alternative route available will
be:
King George V Avenue - A6191 Southwell Road West -
Jenny Becketts Lane - Berry Hill Lane - Kings Walk and
vice versa.
Tudor Avenue - Olive Grove - Coronation Drive - Stuart
Avenue and vice versa.
Barringer Road - B6033 Ravensdale Road - B6030
Sherwood Hall Road - B6030 Clipstone Road West -
A6117 Old Mill Lane and vice versa.
Coronation Drive - Stuart Avenue - B6030 Clipstone Road
West - A6117 Pump Hollow Road and vice versa.
Pump Hollow Road (North Bound) - Olive Grove and
vice versa.
Pump Hollow Road (South Bound) - Liber Close - Olive
Grove and vice versa.
Oak Tree Lane - A6117 Oak Tree Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on Monday 18th March
2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and
any subsequent day when necessary to enable works
to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until
the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18
months).

The prohibition is required to enable Severn Trent Water to
carry out works for a green recovery project.
