What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Watchet  Temporary Closure of West Street Somerset Council in exercise of its powersunder Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along West Street -from the junction with Mill Lane to the junction with Greenway. A total distance of 123metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to install a chamber. The Order becomes effective on 15th March 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 18th March 2024 and last until 22nd March 2024 between the hours of 00:00 -23:59 for a total of 5 days. There is no alternative route for this closure.
