What is happening?
Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C61 (Part), Donhead St Andrew; from its property known as No.01 Milkwell to its property known as Algarve to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out foul water connection via existing WW manhole and associated works. Alternative route via C61 (unaffected length) - A30 - Parnhams Hill - C295 - C61 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: B) A345 (Part), Amesbury and Durrington; from its roundabout junction with A303 to its roundabout junction with The Packway to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out toucan crossing and cycleway improvement. Alternative route via The Packway - B3086 -A303 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 March 2024 and the closure will be required for 3 days. C) Scots Lane, Salisbury; from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Endless Street to enable Wessex Water to carry out water mains and associated works. Alternative route via Endless Street - Blue Boar Row - Castle Street. This Order will come into operation on 18 March 2024 and the closure will be required until 20 March 2024. D) C56 (Part), Winterbourne; from its junction with Gaters Lane to its junction with Great Drove to enable Openreach to carry out repairs to communications equipment and associated works. Alternative route via C56 (unaffected length) - A345 - Down Barn Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 March 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 14:45 for 1 day. E) C293 (Part), Allington and Newton Tony; from its junction with A338 to its junction with Newton Tony Road to enable Wessex Water to carry out CCTV sewer survey from existing manholes on carriageway. Alternative route via C293 (unaffected length) - Amesbury Road - A338 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 12 February 2024 will now recommence on 20 March 2024 and the closure will be required for 3 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

The County Of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Various Parishes) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order (No.40) 2024 (Ref TTRO 9258)
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has intends to make Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway retexturing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 08 April 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be for up to 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 08 April 2024 and 06 May 2024. Schedule 1. A360 (Part), Tilshead and West Lavington; from its junction with Chitterne Road to its junction with C31. 2. A30 (Part), Barford St Martin and Compton Chamberlayne; from a point 1500 metres west of its junction with Burcombe Lane for a distance of approximately 2500 metres in a westerly direction. 3. A350 (Part), East Knoyle, Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with C58 to its junction with C62. 4. A354 (Part), Britford and Coombe Bissett; from its junction with Homington Road to its junction with Stratford Tony Road. 5. A338 (Part), Downton and Odstock; from its junction with Batten Road to its junction with C12. 6. B3080 (Part), Downton and Redlynch; from its junction with Slab Lane to outside property known at Greenfields. Alternative routes (vice versa) 1a LGV's: via A360 (unaffected length) - A342 - A345 - The Packway and B3086. 1b HGV's: via A360 (unaffected length) - B3098 -Cheverell Road - A360 - A342 A345 - The Packway and B3086. 2. via A30 (unaffected length) - B3089 and A350. 3. via A350 unaffected length - A30 and B3089. 4. via A354 unaffected length - A3094 - A36 - A30 and A350. 5. via A338 unaffected length - A31 and A36. 6. via B3080 unaffected length - B3078 - B3079 - A31 and A338. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C56 (Part) Phillips Lane, Salisbury; from its junction with A345 in a Westerly direction. B) C294 (Part) High Post C56, Durnford; to the junction to C42 Woodford Bridge. C) C57 (Part) Camp Hill, Woodford; from its junction with A360 to its junction with C42. D) C283 (Part) Church Bottom, Woodford; from its junction with A360 to its junction with C42. E) C42 (Part), Woodford-South bound only; from its junction with Woodford Bridge. F) C56 (Part) Phillips Lane, Salisbury-North bound only; from its junction with Stratford Bridge/Stratford Road to enable City of Salisbury Athletics and Running Club to carry out a road Running Race. The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 17 March 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 10:00 and 12:00 (noon) for one day. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely.
