East Ordsall Lane & Stevenson Street Area - Prohibition Of Driving
What is happening?
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Salford made THE CITY OF SALFORD (EAST ORDSALL LANE AND STEVENSON STREET AREA) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING EXCEPT FOR ACCESS AND REVOCATION) ORDER 2024 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order will be as follows; Prohibition of Driving Except for access on; (i) East Ordsall Lane from a point 77.5m south of the south westerly projected kerbline of Stevenson St, to a point 12m south west of the southwesterly projected kerbline of Clermont Way. (ii) Stevenson St from a point 37.2m south of the south westerly projected kerbline of James St to East Ordsall Lane.
An Existing Order is to be amended to be consistent with the above proposals.
The Order shall come into operation on 18 March 2024.
A copy of the made Order and plan may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Alternatively you can write in to the address below or email the council for a copy of the documents placed on deposit. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks from 6 March 2024 apply to the High Court for this purpose SCC006/01069
