What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
HOCKLEY LANE, ASHOVER

WHEN: 1st April to 30th September 2024 (Any 10 days within this period).
WHERE: B6036 Hockley Lane, Ashover Phase 1 - between its junction with Church Street to its junction with Hard Meadow Lane.
Phase 2 - between its junction with Hard Meadow Lane to its junction with Stubben Edge Lane.
REASON: To facilitate surface dressing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Phase 1- Church Street, Kilken Lane, Hard Meadow Lane & vice versa. Phase 2 - Stubben Edge Lane, Ashover Road, A61 Derby Road, Nethermoor Road, Birkin Lane, A632 Matlock Road, B6036 (to point of closure) and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
