What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A609 CROSSROADS - WOODHOUSE ROAD, MAIN STREET,
LADY LEA ROAD AND RYKNIELD ROAD, HORSLEY WOODHOUSE
WHEN: 20th March 2024 to 22nd March 2024 (between 18:00 to 23:59)
WHERE: At the A609 Crossroads with Woodhouse Road, Main Street, Lady Lea Road & Ryknield Road, Horsley Woodhouse.
REASON: To facilitate Carriageway Resurfacing of the crossroads and associated junctions.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
Diversion Route A - A609 Main Street, Church Lane, A608 Heanor Road / Derby Road, A6007 Heanor Road/High Street, Loscoe-Denby Lane, Church Street, Ryknield Road vice versa.
Diversion B - Ryknield Road, Chapel Street, A609 Woodhouse Road, vice versa.
Diversion C - A609 Woodhouse Road, Horsley Road, Lady Lea Road, vice versa.
Diversion D - Lady Lea Road, Smalley Mill Road, Wood Lane, A609 Main Street, vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
