Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 14 March 2024:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the below traffic regulation Orders under Sections 14(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Traffic Regulation Order 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HOLDEN AVENUE (PART), OXLEY PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1922)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close Holden Avenue, Oxley Park – from its junction with Sinatra Drive for a distance of 50 metres in a westerly direction to allow DTC Construction to construct a new sewer connection:
The above closure will take place between 25th March 2024 and 19th April 2024 (24 Hours) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 12th March 2024 made the following temporary traffic regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Traffic Regulation Order 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FLAXLEY GATE (PART), MONKSTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1923)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close Flaxley Gate, Monkston from its junction with Chaffron Way to its junction with Blanchland Circle, to enable National Grid to carry out connection of LV NGED cables into 5G mast:
The above closure will take place between 18th March 2024 and 21st March 2024 (24 Hours) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Traffic Regulation Order 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WINDERMERE DRIVE AND MELFORT DRIVE (PARTS), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1934)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close the following roads to enable AIS Utilities to safely undertake cable lay works:
18th March 2024 – 25th March 2024 (24 hours)
Windermere Drive, Bletchley from its junction with Cullen Place to its junction with Leven Close.
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Stoke Road (and vice versa).
25th March 2024 – 28th March 2024 - (24 hours)
Melfort Drive, Bletchley from its junction with Burnmoor Close for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction.
Whilst the above closure is in place there will be no alternative route however access will be granted where possible.
Traffic Regulation Order 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH 27 (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1924)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close Footpath 27, Bletchley from its junction with Water Eaton Road for a distance of 300 metres in a southerly direction, to allow Milton Keynes City Council to undertake redway surfacing works:
The above closure will take place between 18th March 2024 and 18th June 2024 (24 Hours) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Traffic Regulation Order 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SAXON STREET H7 TO H8, COFFEE HALL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1939)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close V7 Saxon Street from its junction with Harrier Drive to its junction with Lloyds, to facilitate installation of a telecoms pole and cabinet: -
The above closure will take place between 19th March 2024 (Between 9:30am and 3:30pm) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Traffic Regulation Order 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (DENMARK STREET (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1916)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close Denmark Street, Bletchley from its junction with Victoria Road to its junction with Rowlands Close, to enable Openreach to undertake pole renewal works.
The above closure will take place between 22nd March 2024 (Between 9:30am and 4:30pm) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Traffic Regulation Order 7:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS MILTON KEYNES – THE FESTIVAL OF RUNNING EVENT) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1828)
for the purpose of facilitating the holding of a relevant event, namely the annual Milton Keynes Half Marathon and Festival of Running.
The effect of the Order will be as follows: -
1) To temporarily close parts of Avebury Boulevard (including any car parking area access roads where relevant) and Marlborough Gate in Central Milton Keynes, V7 Saxon Street, H6 Childs Way, H7 Chaffron Way, The Spur Road and Golden Drive in Eaglestone, Waterside in Peartree Bridge, Flaxley Gate in Monkston, Colindale Street in Monkston Park and Tanfield Lane, Milton Road and Swanwick Lane in Broughton.
2) To temporarily prohibit right turn manoeuvres on to V7 Saxon Street from its junctions with H6 Childs Way, H7 Chaffron Way and Fulwoods Drive, Leadenhall and to prohibit right turn manoeuvres onto Saxon Street from Avebury Boulevard in Central Milton Keynes.
The temporary closures and right turn bans will be in effect on Sunday 17th March 2024 (between the hours of 9:45am and 2.00pm. The roads will re-open once the runners have passed through.

Public Notice for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notice of proposal shall be served on Thursday 14 March 2024:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (DANSTEED WAY (H4), MILTON KEYNES) (40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has on 12 February 2024 made the above traffic regulation Order (reference: TRO-361).
The effect of the above made Order will be to introduce a 40mph speed restriction along the following length of Dansteed Way (H4) in Milton Keynes (as proposed on 20 July 2023):
Dansteed Way (H4), Milton Keynes (both sides) From a point 7 metres south-west of its junction with Lodge Roundabout to a point 280 metres south-west of its junction with Grange Farm Roundabout, including the entire circumference of Crownhill Roundabout and Grange Farm Roundabout and (a distance of 2,070 metres).
The made Order will take effect on 15 March 2024.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
