ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF ROCKCLIFFE ROAD RAWMARSH ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Rockcliffe Road from its junction with High Street/ Rawmarsh Hill to the western kerb line of Wilton Close on Wednesday 20th March 2024.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route is via High Street, Bellows Road, Green Lane, Barbers Avenue and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (cranage).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF CARR LANE THRYBERGH ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Carr Lane from its junction with A630 Doncaster Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a northerly direction from Monday 23rd. March until Friday  29th. March 2024.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Doncaster Road, Kilnhurst Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Gas valve maintenance).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF BROOKHOUSE ROAD ASTON CUM AUGHTON SHEFFIELD (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Brookhouse Road from a point approximately 50m south of its junction with Mansfield Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a southerly direction on Sunday 17th March 2024.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a for cul de sac. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH 3 HARTHILL SHEFFIELD (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath 3 Harthill commencing from a point at its junction with Carver Way and proceeding in a westerly then southerly direction around Harthill reservoir to a point at its junction with Public Footpath 30 Harthill at Grid reference SK 4869 8026 from Wednesday 20th March until Monday 27th May 2024. NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians is via the section of Public Footpath 3 Harthill along the eastern side of the reservoir.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Canal & River Trust will be undertaking construction work at the reservoir, including the decommissioning and construction of a new spillway. The footpath needs to be closed for the works to take place safely along the reservoir embankment which is narrow with steep slopes).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.18 MALTBY ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath No.18 Maltby commencing from its junction with Glencairn Close and proceeding in a northerly direction for  a distance of approximately 750m to a point at Grid Reference SK 5397 9270 from Wednesday  20th March 2024 for a period of up to six months.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route is via a continuation of Public Footpath 18 Maltby and Public Footpath 2 Maltby.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Public safety and site security during ongoing site works)

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF BRINSWORTH LANE AND PART OF UN-ADOPTED SHOP ACCESS SERVICE ROAD SERVING 2 TO 6A BRINSWORTH LANE AND 337 TO 381 BRINSWORTH ROAD BRINSWORTH ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice from Monday  25th March until Friday 5th April 2024.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the five parts of road (closed in one direction for shop frontage parking improvements).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Brins worth Lane in any direction other than a westerly direction from its junction with Poplar Road to its junction with Bonet Lane/Brinsworth Road (the alternative route will be via Bonet Lane, A631 Bawtry Road and Brinsworth Lane)

(ii)   Un-adopted access road off Brinsworth Lane at its junction with Brinsworth Lane (the alternative will be via access off Brinsworth Road)

EXPERIMENTAL TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER TO AMEND THE ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, ROTHERHAM) (TRAFFIC REGULATION CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2011

Disabled Residents Designated Parking Place – Tooker Road, Rotherham

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 4th. March 2024 Rotherham Borough Council made  an Experimental Order under Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to be operative from the  18th. March 2024 for the duration of 18 months.

The effect of the Order if implemented will designate as a disabled residents designated parking place the section of road specified in the Schedule below for use by the resident whose vehicle shall properly display a valid disabled person’s badge and residents parking permit issued by the Council in respect of that vehicle.

SCHEDULE

Disabled Residents Designated Parking Place – Tooker Road, Rotherham for the use of the resident of 37 Tooker Road.

The Southwestern kerbline 5.00 meters from the extended Southeastern kerbline of Godstone Road for a distance of 7.00 metres in a Southwesterly direction.

A copy of the Order and plan showing the length and side of the road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the Council’s Offices at the address shown below.

The Experimental Order has been made to allow for an assessment of the changes before a decision is taken to make it permanent.

Any person wishing to make representations whether to object or support the Order before it is made permanent must do so in writing quoting the reference (NF/72206, e-mail Legal-TRO@ rotherham.gov.uk) specifying the grounds on which they are made within 6 months of the Experimental Order coming into force or if the Order is subsequently varied or modified within  6 months of the variation or modification coming into force.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF QUEENSWAY MOORGATE ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Queensway from its junction with A618 Moorgate Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction from Monday  18th March until Friday 22nd March 2024.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is via Hallam Road, Norfolk Way and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Installation of telecommunications equipment).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1) AND 14(7)

PART OF SANDYGATE AND PART OF HIGH STREET WATH UPON DEARNE ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY ORDER)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to:-

1.     Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Sandygate, Wath Upon Dearne from its junction with New Road for a distance of approximately 260m in a north westerly direction towards High Street on Sunday 24th. March 2024.

       NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via High Street and vice versa.

2.     Temporarily suspend the One Way Order relating to that part of High Street, Wath Upon Dearne from a point approximately 15m west of the western kerb line of Moor Road to its junction with Sandygate to allow safe access and egress for vehicles requiring access to Sandygate on Sunday 24th. March 2024.

The reason for the prohibition and suspension of the order is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Telegraph Pole replacement).
