What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
B5006 DERBY ROAD, SMISBY
WHEN: 01 April to 30 September 2024
(For no more than 20 individual days between 09:00 to 17:00)
WHERE: B5006 Derby Road, Smisby between its Jct with A514 Main Street and with the county boundary B5006 Smisby Road.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A511 Ashby Road, A514; Hartshorne Road, Woodville Road, Main Street, Ticknall Road, Scaddows Lane, Burton Road, Staunton Lane to Heath Lane. Heath Lane, Forties Lane, Annwell Lane, Ashby Road, to join A511.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
