What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

BEECH ROAD, MEREWORTH, ME18 5QY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beech Road, Mereworth, on or after 18th March 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with B2016 Seven Mile Lane, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2016 Seven Mile Lane, Willow Wents, New Pound Lane, Beech Road and vice versa.

BULLEN LANE, EAST PECKHAM, TN12 5NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bullen Lane, East Peckham, on or after 18th March 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Rose Villa. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bullen Lane, Bush Road, Pound Road, Chidley Cross Road, Hatches Lane and vice versa.

COMMERCIAL ROAD, TONBRIDGE, TN9 2RF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Commercial Road, Tonbridge, on or after 19th March 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Priory Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

KINGFISHER ROAD, LARKFIELD, ME20 6RB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new water connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kingfisher Road, Larkfield, on or after 18th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 96. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kingfisher Road, New Hythe Lane, A20 London Road, Lunsford Lane and vice versa.

PILGRIMS WAY, WROTHAM, TN15 7EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Wrotham, on or after 1st April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 1. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Battlefields Road, Kemsing Road, High Street, Old London Road, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

PILGRIMS WAY, ROCHESTER ME1 3RB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow Openreach works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Rochester, on or after 2nd April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of School Lane and Knowle Road, during the hours of 10:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Lane, High Street, Knowle Road and vice versa.

PILGRIMS WAY, WROTHAM, TN15 7QE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Wrotham, on or after 19th March 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Former Rectory, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 London Road, Nepicar Lane, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

PLATT HOUSE LANE, FAIRSEAT, TN15 7LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Platt House Lane, Fairseat, on or after 20th March 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Vigo Road, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Platt House Lane, Vigo Road and vice versa.

SPRINGWELL ROAD, TONBRIDGE TN9 2PJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow frame and cover works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Springwell Road, Tonbridge, on or after 2nd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 3. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any eastbound through traffic is via A26 Quarry Hill Road, Baltic Road, Judd Road and Springwell Road.

The alternative route for any westbound through traffic is via A26 Quarry Hill Road, A2014 Pembury Road, St Marys Road and Springwell Road.

TEAPOT LANE & WOODLANDS ROAD, AYLESFORD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to take place, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Teapot Lane & Woodlands Road, Aylesford, on or after 1st April 2024 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.

Teapot Lane will be closed between the junctions of A20 London Road and Elm Walk. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Woodlands Road will be closed between the junctions of A20 London Road and Holtwood Avenue. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic on Teapot Lane is via A20 London Road, Hall Road, The Avenue, The Oaks, Elm Walk and vice versa.

The alternative route for any through traffic on Woodlands Road is via Woodlands Road, New Road, A20 London Road and vice versa.

VAUXHALL LANE, TONBRIDGE TN11 0NF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vauxhall Lane, Tonbridge, on or after 4th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside New Cottages, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vauxhall Lane, A2014 Vauxhall Lane, A2014 Pembury Road, A26 Quarry Hill Road, A26 London Road and vice versa.

VIGO ROAD, FAIRSEAT, TN15 7LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vigo Road, Fairseat, on or after 19th March 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Holy Innocents Church, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vigo Road, Platt House Lane, Wrotham Hill Road, Tumblefield Road, Plaxdale Green Road, Malthouse Road, Stansted Hill, Vigo Road and vice versa.
