What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

BRANDS HATCH, SEVENOAKS (TRAFFIC RESRICTIONS) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

For the safety of the public whilst events are being held at Brands Hatch, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to restrict traffic on various roads in the Brands Hatch area, as defined below.

Restriction: 30mph Speed Limit in both directions from 06.00 – 20.00 hours.

Road Name: A20 London Road/Gorse Hill, West Kingsdown

Extent: Between the end of the existing 40mph limit London Road, Farningham and Twenty Mile Texaco Petrol Station, West Kingsdown

Dates: 1st April, 5th May, 12th May, 8th & 9th June, 21st & 22nd July, 11th August, 29th September, 6th October, 12th & 13th October, 3rd November 2024

Restriction: 30mph Speed Limit in both directions from 06.00 – 20.00 hours

Road Name: Scratchers Lane & Fawkham Road

Extent: Scratchers Lane – whole length

Fawkham Road - from junction with Scratchers Lane to 100m North of Warland Road (start of 30mph speed limit) in both directions

Dates: 1st April, 5th May, 12th May, 8th & 9th June, 21st & 22nd July, 11th August, 29th September, 6th October, 12th & 13th October, 3rd November 2024

Restriction: Suspend Cycle Lane Order from 06.00 – 20.00 hours.

Road Name: A20 London Road/Gorse Hill, West Kingsdown.

Extent 1: Between Eynsford Road, Farningham and Twenty Mile Texaco Petrol Station, West Kingsdown.

Diversion: Cyclists should dismount and walk along the pavement for the length of the restriction.

Dates: 1st April, 5th May, 12th May, 8th & 9th June, 21st & 22nd July, 11th August, 29th September, 6th October, 12th & 13th October, 3rd November 2024

Extent 2: Southbound 50 metres either side of Fawkham Road

Dates: 5th May, 12th May, 21st & 22nd July, 11th August, 6th October, 12th & 13th October, 3rd November 2024

Restriction: No Right Turn from 06.00hrs - 20.00hrs

1: Into Donkey Lane southbound from A20 London Road/Gorse Hill

Diversion: southbound traffic A20 wishing to access to Donkey Lane will be diverted via Eynsford Road, Farningham

2: Out of Donkey Lane onto A20 London Road/Gorse Hill

Diversion: traffic exiting Donkey Lane will be diverted northbound on the A20 and will be permitted to turn around at the Farningham roundabout and then travel southbound

Dates: 1st April, 5th May, 12th May, 8th & 9th June, 21st & 22nd July, 11th August, 29th September, 6th October, 12th & 13th October, 3rd November 2024

3: Into Scratchers Lane northbound from A20 London Road/Gorse Hill

Diversion: Traffic to use Portobello junction and Fawkham Road for access

Dates: 1st April, 5th May, 12th May, 8th & 9th June, 21st & 22nd July, 11th August, 29th September, 6th October, 12th & 13th October, 3rd November 2024

4: From Fawkham Road into A20 London Road

Dates: 5th May, 12th May, 21st & 22nd July, 6th October, 12th & 13th October, 3rd November 2024

CHURCH ROAD, HARTLEY, DA3 8DT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of tree cutting, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Hartley, on or after 18 March 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.30hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Westfield and Thames View Farm.

The alternative route is via Church Road, St Johns Lane, Ash Road and vice versa.

CHURCH ROAD & ST JOHN’S LANE, HARTLEY. DA3 8AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of SGN works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road and St John’s Lane, Hartley, on or after 2nd April 2024 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.

Church Road will be closed between St John’s Lane and Manor Drive.

St John’s Lane will be closed at the junction with Church Road.

The alternative route is via Church Road, Ash Road and vice versa.

FAWKHAM ROAD, FAWKHAM. DA3 7RN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of works due to a new housing development, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Fawkham Road, Fawkham, on or after 1st April 2024 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Salts Farm and Dean Bottom.

The alternative route is via Fawkham Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, Darenth Hill, Parsonage Lane, A225 Main Road/Dartford Road, A20 London Road/Gorse Hill, Gabriel Spring Road, Scratchers Lane, Brands Hatch Road, Valley Road and vice versa.

FURNACE LANE, COWDEN, TN8 7JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Furnace Lane, Cowden, on or after 18 March 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.30hrs and 16.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Holtye Hill and Smithers Lane.

The alternative route is via Smithers Lane, Shepherds Grove Lane, A264 Holtye Road, Holtye Hill and vice versa.

PARK LANE, FAWKE COMMON/GODDEN GREEN TN15 0JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Lane, Fawke Common/Godden Green, on or after 2nd April 2024 for up to 10 nights between 21.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between St Julian Road and Blackhall Lane.

The alternative route is via Park Lane, St Julian’s Road, A225 Tonbridge Road/High Street/Dartford Road/St Johns Hill, A25 Seal Road/High Street and vice versa.

TWITTON LANE, OTFORD, TN14 5JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Twitton Lane, Otford, on or after 18 March 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Sinnet House.

The alternative route is via Twitton Lane, Pilgrims Way West, Filston Lane and vice versa.

WOODSIDE ROAD & CHAPMANS ROAD, SUNDRIDGE, TN14 6DE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of gas main replacement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Woodside Road, Sundridge, on or after 18 March 2024 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed. The One-Way Order on Chapmans Road will be suspended to allow access.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

The alternative route is via New Road, A25 Main Road, Church Road, Chapmans Road and vice versa.
