Kensington High Street - Road Closed To Vehicles For Crane Works
What is happening?
THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
KENSINGTON HIGH STREET
Eastbound Directional Road Closure
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in conjunction with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1)(A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR CRANE WORKS.
Kensington High Street to be closed eastbound from the junction of Addison Bridge Road to the junction of Russell Road.
To be closed from 08.00hrs until 18.00hrs on Sunday 24th March 2024, with a backup date of Sunday 14th April 2024.
Diverted through traffic may use Hammersmith Road,
North End Road, Talgarth Road, West Cromwell Road, Warwick Road, Kensington High Street.
Russell Road to be closed at the junction of Kensington High Street.
Diverted through traffic to use Russell Road, Fairfax Place, Holland Road, Addison Crescent, Addison Road, Kensington High Street.
The Right hand turns out of Addison Bridge Place, Avonmore Road and Earsby Street are to be suspended for the duration of the closure. Diverted traffic to use Hammersmith Road, North End Road, Talgarth Road, West Cromwell Road, Warwick Road, Kensington High Street.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
