What is happening?

NORTH LANARKSHIRE COUNCIL
B803 COATBRIDGE ROAD, GLENMAVIS (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

On 4 March 2024 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on carriageway resurfacing works) on B803 Coatbridge Road, Glenmavis from its junction with Waddell Avenue to its junction with Northburn Road by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
Alternative routes: Vehicles should proceed via B803 Waverley Street, Burnbank Street, sunnside Road, A89 South Circular Road, Main Street, Deedes Street, Alexander Street, A8010 Aitchison Street, High Street, B802 North Bridge Street, Commonside Street and Glenmavis Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
Vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
Access to the following properties will also be maintained:

West side 47-81 Coatbridge Road 
East side 15-27 Waverley Street, Methven Terrace, Watson Towers Ltd, MH Car Sales and Northburn Metal Co.
The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 18 March 2024 
and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 31 March 2024.
