WILSONS ROAD, GREENHILL ROAD, HARESHAW ROAD, HARESHAW
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
On 4 March 2024 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on Road Safety Improvement Works) on Wilsons Road, Greenhill Road, Hareshaw Road, Hareshaw as outlined below, by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
PHASE 1
Extents:
Wilsons Road, Hareshaw from its junction with Hareshaw Road northwestwards for a distance of 60m or thereby.
Greenhill Road, Hareshaw from its junction with Hareshaw Road southeastwards for a distance of 150m or thereby.
Hareshaw Road, Hareshaw from its junction with Greenhill Road southwestwards for a distance of 60m or thereby
Alternative routes: Vehicles on the north side of the closure on Wilson Road wishing access to Hareshaw Road to the west side of the closure should proceed via Wilsons Road, B7066 Glasgow and Edinburgh Road, B73 Bellside Road, A73 Carlisle Road and Hareshaw Road to the west side of the closure. Vehicles on Hareshaw Road to the west side of the closure wishing access to the Wilsons Road to the north side of the closure should proceed vice versa.
Vehicles on the north side of the closure on Wilson Road wishing access to
Greenhill Road to the south side of the closure should proceed via Wilsons
Road, B7066 Glasgow and Edinburgh Road, B73 Bellside Road, A73 Carlisle Road, Fernishaw Road and Greenhill Road to the south side of the closure. Vehicles on Greenhill Road to the south side of the closure wishing access to Wilsons Road to the north side of the closure should proceed vice versa.
Vehicles on the west side of the closure on Hareshaw Road wishing access to
Greenhill Road to the south side of the closure should proceed via Hareshaw Road, A73 Carlisle Road, Fernishaw Road and Greenhill Road to the south side of the closure. Vehicles on Greenhill Road to the south side of the closure wishing access to Hareshaw Road to the west side of the closure should proceed vice versa.
PHASE 2
Extents:
Greenhill Road, Hareshaw from its junction with Hareshaw Road southeastwards for a distance of 150m or thereby.
Alternative Routes: Vehicles on the north side of the closure on Wilsons Road wishing access to south side of the closure on Greenhill Road should proceed via Hareshaw Road, A73 Carlisle Road, Fernishaw Road and Greenhill Road to the south side of the closure. Vehicles on Greenhill Road to the south side of the closure wishing access to the Wilsons Road to the north side of the closure should proceed vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 18 March 2024 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 28 April 2024.
