Dormers Wells Lane & Uxbridge Road - Temporary Road Restrictions For Replacing A Water Hydrant
What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
NOTICE OF INTENT TO CREATE A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS AFFECTING: DORMERS WELLS LANE & UXBRIDGE ROAD, SOUTHALL.
Ealing Council intends to make the following temporary traffic order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 4175 Dormers Wells Lane & Uxbridge Road, Southall - 2024.
Reason for order
This order will prohibit traffic turning right on Uxbridge Road & Dormers Wells Lane. These works involve Affinity Water replacing a water hydrant.
Effect of order
1. No right turn for westbound traffic along Uxbridge Road into Dormers Wells Lane. No right turn southbound on Dormers Wells Lane onto Uxbridge Road.
2. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect from 25th March 2024.
(a) Vehicle turn bans will be temporarily implemented. Refer to effect of order.
(b) No waiting, loading, or unloading on either side of the carriageway within the fully closed section(s).
3. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
4. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.
5. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.
Date order will come into force.
25th March 2024
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 24th September 2025 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 28th March 2024, whichever is sooner.
