What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Stockley Lane to C50 Blacklands, Calne Without; from its junction with C247 to its junction with C50. B) Blacklands Crossroads East to Calstone Wellington, Calne Without; from its junction with C50 to its junction with Calstone Wellington Road North Through Theobalds Green to A4 to enable Wessex Water to carry out works to install new water mains and provide customers service and other associated works. Alternative route A via C50 - A361 - A4 - C247 and vice versa. Alternative route B via Calstone Wellington Road North Through Theobalds Green to A4 - A4 - A361 - C50 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation for A on 02 April 2024 and the closure will be required until 24 May 2024. C) St Mary Street (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Emery Road to its junction with Common Slip to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway slap replacement and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 02 April 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00 until 19 April 2024. D) C131 (Part), Bremhill and Calne Without; from its junction with C112 to outside its property known as No.01 New Cottages to enable Wessex Water to carry out mains pipe replacement work and other associated works. Alternative route via C113 (unaffected length) - Maud Heaths Causeway north east to Wick Hill - C118 - A3102 - A4 - C113 (unaffected length) and vice versa. E) C106, Brinkworth; from its junction with C104 to its junction with C88 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun works and associated works. Alternative route via C88 - B4042 - C104 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 02 April 2024 and the closure will be required for 4 days. F) The Street (Part), Great Somerford; from its junction with Park Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out tree cutting to allow anti climb spikes to be fitted to Wessex Water asset and associated works. Alternative route via The Street (unaffected length) - The Hill - B4042 - A429 - C82 - C77 -C66 and vice versa. G) Spout Lane (Part), Seend; from its junction with A361 to its junction with Devizes Camping and Caravanning Site to enable Openreach to carry out fibre delivery and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 02 April 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 0f 09:30 and 15:30 for 3 days. Alternative route via C20 (unaffected length) - A361 - C365 - C20 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 March 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 until 15 March 2024. J) Willow Grove, Chippenham; from its junction with Elmwood for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, replacement of road markings, adjustment of ironworks and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 13 March 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 on weekdays only until 20 March 2024. K) Coxstalls (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett; from its property known as No.24 Coxstalls for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out works to install a boundary box and other associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 11 March 2024 and the closure will be required for 3 days. L) Salisbury Street, Devizes; from its junction with A361 to its junction with Avon Road to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out mains replacement works and other associated works. Alternative route via Avon Road - Beauclerc Street - A361 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 March 2024 and the closure will be required until 22 March 2024. M) C104 (Part), Charlton; from its junction with C103 to its junction with C67 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun wors and other associated works. Alternative route via C67 - C76 - B4040 - C103 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 March 2024 and the closure will be required for 5 days. N) Westerham Walk to Priestly Grove, Calne; from its junction with Priestly Grove to its junction with Westerham Walk to enable Wessex Water to carry out works to install a new service connection and other associated works. Alternative route via Westerham Walk - Park Close - Between 11 Park Close - Bentley Grove -Anchor Road - Priestly Grove and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 12 March 2024 and the closure will be required for 4 days. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600. O) Hollybush Lane (Part), Pewsey; from its junction with Knowle for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out brickwork repairs and clear vegetation. No alternative route is available. This Order which previously came into operation on 26 February 2024 will now recommence on 11 March 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 until 23 March 2024. Orders A) to M) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order N) will have a maximum duration of 06 months, Order O) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Order 1 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (A4, Froxfield) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2003 and re-enact it in the above Order 1 and to introduce a 40mph speed limit on A4, Froxfield - from a point 79 metres west of its junction with C30 Oak Hill to a point 310 metres west of that junction. Order 2 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (A4, Froxfield) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2003 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2. Deposit copies of the Order, plan and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may also be seen at Ramsbury Library, Chapel House, High Street SN8 2QP during the hours of 2pm to 4pm Monday and 10am to midday Wednesday and Saturday until 1 April 2024. NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 118 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL PARISH OF BROAD HINTON PATH (FORTUNES FIELD) EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2024

The above order, confirmed as made on 26 February 2024 under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish the path as shown in Wiltshire Council's Highway Record as a 'brown track' from Fortunes Field, Broad Hinton, at OSGR SU 1050-7670 leading in an east north easterly, then south south easterly direction to its junction with Broad Hinton Footpath 5, at OSGR SU 1071-7662. Width to be extinguished is the entire width shaded brown on Wiltshire Council's Highway Record. Approximate length 290 metres. A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at, Wiltshire Council, County Hall , Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN from 9pm to 5pm Monday to Friday by appointment. NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL HILPERTON 54 DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2022

On 4 January 2024 an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above order under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert Footpath Hilperton 54, Elizabeth Way, Hilperton, Trowbridge, at OS Grid Reference ST 8661-5926 in a south-easterly direction for approximately 315 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 8682-5903, to a new route at OS Grid Reference ST 8661-5926, in a broadly south-easterly direction for approximately 364 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 8682-5903, having a width of 2 metres. Thereupon the Bradford and Melksham Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1952 shall be modified accordingly. A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Rights of Way and Countryside, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Monday to Friday.
