ALIE STREET - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition: Location: Alie Street south from its junction with Commercial Road; Reason: To facilitate crane operation works replacing a Glazed unit. The works are to be carried out on the public highway by Lift Assist Limited; Period: Thursday 7th March 2024; Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Commercial Road, Whitechapel High Street, Leman Street or Leman Street, Prescot Street, Mansell Street and Whitechapel High Street. The footway is also to be closed for this section; Reason: For essential asbestos remediation works on the railway infrastructure. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 23 - PROPOSED
PEDESTRIAN CROSSING
POPLAR HIGH STREET E14 - The Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, after consultation with the Metropolitan Police, is proposing to construct a new zebra crossing in Poplar High Street approximately 10m east of the junction with Bazely Street. A plan showing the layout of the proposed zebra crossing and associated zigzag carriageway markings can be requested by emailing: mark.stebles@towerhamlets.gov.uk or by writing to the address below. Requests can be made until the expiration of a period of 14 days from the date of this notice. Any representations regarding the proposed crossing should be sent to the email address above or by post to the address below by 21st March 2024.
