(A4069 AMMAN ROAD, LOWER BRYNAMMAN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving on the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable National Coal Board / Shillibbers Ltd to undertake civil engineering works adjacent to / in the highway and for the Highway Authority to carry out subsequent Highway works in the road.
The Order will come into force on the 2nd April 2024 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is envisaged the work will take approximately three weeks to complete.
SCHEDULE
A4069 Amman Road will be closed from its junction with Glyn Road in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 250 metres along its length.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the unaffected section of the A4069, A4068, A4067 and A474.
