THE HAMPSHIRE (READING ROAD/GRIFFIN WAY NORTH, HOOK) (RESTRICTED ROAD AND 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 27th February 2024, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 82, 83, 84 and 122(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to extend the existing 30 miles per hour speed limit by way of a prescribed system of street lighting (existing 40mph) on the southern section of Griffin Way North by approximately 30 metres.

This will revoke and re-enact the previous Traffic Regulation Order without change save for the change described above

DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Saturday 9th March 2024.

(ii) Hart District Council Civic Offices, Harlington Way, Fleet, GU51 4AE (Opening hours: Monday Thursdays: 08.30 - 17.00; Fridays: 08.30 - 16.30)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 - 5.15; Fridays 8.30 - 4.45)
