Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024
On 6 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 March 2024. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

1. that length of Merrow Woods (D4010) Guildford which extends from the property boundary line between No.39 and No.41 Merrow Woods to the north-eastern property boundary line of 5 to 8 Bishop Parkhurst. Alternative Route – D4010 Merrow Woods;
2. that length of Bushy Hill Drive (D4011) Guildford which extends from its junction with Martins Close to its junction with Sheeplands Avenue. Alternative Route – D4011 Sheeplands Avenue and D4011 Banders Rise;
3. that length of Epsom Road (A246) East Clandon which extends from its junction with C40 The Street to its junction with A247 The Street. Alternative Route – A246 Epsom Road, A246 Guildford Road, A246 Guildford Road, A246 Leatherhead Road, A246 Young Street, A24 London Road, A24 Mickleham By Pass, A24 London Road, A2003 Ashcombe Road, A2003 Chalkpit Lane, A2003 Station Road, A25 Westcott Road, A25 Guildford Road, A25 Coast Hill, A25 Guildford Road, A25 Dorking Road, A25 Station Road, A25 Shere Road and A25 Shere Road.
The Street (C40) West Horsley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 6 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles, equestrians and cyclists from entering or proceeding in that length of The Street (C40) West Horsley which extends from its junction with Ripley Lane to its junction with Long Reach; and (b) suspend “Surrey County Council The Street (C41) West Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety. This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate water works/sewer works and/or manhole cover replacement works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 10am and 3pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians. Access for buses may be affected. Alternative Route – The Street, Epsom Road, Ockham Road South, Ockham Road North and East Lane.
Cadbury Road (A244) Sunbury-on-Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 6 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cadbury Road (A244) Sunbury-on-Thames which extends from its junction with Staiens Road West to the northern property boundary line of No. 142 Cadbury Road. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 March 2024. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. College Avenue (D3171) Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 6 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of College Avenue (D3171) Egham which extends from its junction with Mead Close (D3171) to the northern property boundary line of “1 Collage Avenue”.
Alternative Route – No diversion route available.
The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 21 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Charles Street (D3018) Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 06 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Charles Street (D3018) Chertsey. Alternative Route: Station Road, King Street, and (A317) Eastworth Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate sewer cover replacement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 10am and 3pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

On 06 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Fordwater Road (B387) Chertsey. Alternative Route: (1) Stepgates, Free Prae Road, and (A317) Eastworth Road; (2) (A317) Chertsey Road, (A317) St Peters Way, (A317) Chertsey Road, (A317) Eastworth Road, Free Prae Road, and Stepgates. This Order is required to facilitate mains gas replacement works, for or on behalf of Morrisons Utilities. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 18 weeks between the hours of 7am and 7pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 March 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

On 06 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Knowle Lane (D184) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (D183) Wildwood Lane to its junction with (D185) Hogspudding Lane; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.6) 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: Wildwood Lane, (A281) Guildford Road, (A281) Horsham Road, (A281) Guildford Road, Hillhouse Lane, and Knowle Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Network Plus. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm during 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 March 2024. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 6 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Star Hill (D125) Churt, Farnham which extends from its junction with Churt Road (A287) to its junction with Star Hill Drive (X83060).
Alternative Route – Churt Road (A287) and Lampard Lane (D125) or the same route in reverse.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Walton Lane (D3875) Weybridge as extends from its junction with (D3875) Gipsey Lane to a point in line with the eastern boundary of the property known as “Desborough Lodge”. Alternative Route: Walton Lane, (A244) Walton Bridge, (A244) Bridge Street, (A3050) Oatlands Drive, (A317) Monument Hill, Monument Green, and Thames Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water repair works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 14 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 April 2024. Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Beech Avenue (C43) Effingham as extends from its junction with (A246) Guildford Road to its junction with (D883) Beech Close. Alternative Route: (A246) Guildford Road, (A246) Leatherhead Road, (A246) Guildford Road, (A246) Young Street, (A24) Dorking Road, (A24) London Road, (A2003) Ashcombe Road, (C44) Ashcombe Road, (C44) Ranmore Road, (C44) Ranmore Common Road, (C43) Critten Lane, and (C43) Beech Avenue, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out disconnection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between 8.30am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 08 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Brook Hill (D194) Albury. This Order is required to facilitate installation of Valve Box and Spindle works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 April 2024. Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Lower Road (D265) Effingham as extends from its junction with (C43) The Street to its junction with (X265) Effingham Place; (b) Suspend the 7.5 tonne weight restriction for heavy commercial vehicles in The Street (C43) Effingham imposed by “The County Council of Surrey (Various Roads in Effingham) (Weight Restriction) Order 1983” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (b) of this Notice. Alternative Route: The Street, (A246) Guildford Road, Hawkwood Rise, The Lorne, and Lower Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility connection works for, or on behalf of ALS Civil Engineers. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 days between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 05 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Farncombe Street (D98) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of (a) Farncombe Street (D98) Godalming that is crossed by the Portsmouth Direct Line Level-Crossing and for a distance of 20 metres on each side; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Farncombe Street (D98) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: Farncombe Street, Binscombe Lane, Binscombe, Green Lane, Bourne Road, Summers Road, and Farncombe Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate level-crossing maintenance and/or improvement works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 10 nights between the hours of 10pm and 6am within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 12 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via the Marshalls on site. Due to the nature of the works it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of the Act the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads described in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to facilitate highways improvements, carriageway surfacing, and/or maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period. Horsham Road (A281) Alfold
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Horsham Road (A281) Alfold as extends from its junction with (B2133) Loxwood Road to its junction with (X68217) Hook Street. Alternative Route: (A281) Horsham Road, (B2130) Elmbridge Road, (B2128) The Common, (B2128) High Street, (A281) Guildford Road, (B2128) Horsham Road, (B2128) Cox Green, (B2128) Church Street, and (A281) Guildford Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works for, or on behalf of Newlands Construction Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 nights between 8pm and 6am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services will be maintained via the banksmen on site. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Mill Lane (D5421) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Mill Lane (D5421) Godalming as extends from its junction with (D5421) Station Road to its junction with (D5421) The Mint; and, (b) in order to facilitate resident access the one-way system imposed by “The Surrey County Council Mill Lane and Station Approach (D5421) Godalming (One-Way Traffic) Order 2023” shall be suspended in its entirety. Alternative Route: Station Road and Mill Lane. This Order is required to carry out utility works for, or on behalf of SSEN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days between 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Wheeler Lane (D143) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Wheeler Lane (D143) Godalming as extends from its junction with (A283) Petworth Road to its junction with (D656) Sunny Hill. Alternative Route: (A283) Petworth Road, (A283) Cherry Tree Roundabout, (A286) Haslemere Road, Gasden Lane, and Wheeler Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of NIO Comm Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible between the hours of 9am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Blighton Lane (D83) Seale
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Blighton Lane (D83) Seale as extends from its junction with (X83) Furze Hill to its junction with the property known as “Grey Wings”. Alternative Route: Blighton Lane, Sands Road, Binton Lane, Seale Lane, and Blighton Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate renewal of drainage system works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 08 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Greville Close (D4001) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Greville Close (D4001) Guildford. This Order is required to facilitate ground preparation works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible and will take 4 weeks to complete, during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. There is no alternative route for this closure.
