(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in the County of Northumberland.
A189/B1505 Spine Road to Shankhouse west bound slip road from its point 75 metres south east of its junction with the B1505 heading west for a distance of 140 metres.
A189/B1515 Spine Road to Shankhouse east bound slip road from its point 63 metres west of its junction with the B1505 heading southeast for a distance of 155 metres.
B1505 Sea Villas to Shankhouse from its point 22 metres south of its junction with the A189/B1505 heading south for a distance of 100 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th March 2024 until the 13th August 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 13th March 2024 until the 23th March 2024 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 13th August 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B1505, B1326, C419, C420.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carryout carriageway resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
