What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 - KIRKLEES COUNCIL

(WHITE LEE ROAD, HECKMONDWIKE/BATLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Heckmondwike/Batley:

Road Closure

White Lee Road - from its junction with Batley Road to its junction with Carlinghow Lane

Point Closure

Carlinghow Lane - at its junction with White Lee Road 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Batley Road, High Street, Westgate, Bradford Road, Leeds Road, White Lee Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Saturday, 23rd March 2024 and remain in force until 7th April 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SIXTH AVENUE, HIGHTOWN, LIVERSEDGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Sixth Avenue, Hightown from a point outside property no. 8 to a point outside property no. 12 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Sixth Avenue, Twelfth Avenue, Buttershaw Lane, Tanner Street, Windy Bank Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 27th March 2024 and remain in force until 29th March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BRADFORD ROAD/LISTING LANE/VALLEY ROAD, LITTLETOWN/LIVERSEDGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Littletown/Millbridge:-

Bradford Road - from its junction with Knowler Hill to a point outside property no. 332

Listing Lane - from its junction with Bradford Road to a point outside property no. 7

Valley Road - from its junction with Bradford Road to a point outside property no. 69

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes: Bradford Road - via Bradford Road, Leeds Road, Gomersal Road, Oxford Road, Spen Lane, Spen Bank, St Peg Lane, Dewsbury Road and vice versa; Listing Lane -  via Listing Lane, Quarry Road, Oxford Road, Gomersal Road, Leeds Road, Bradford Road and vice versa; Valley Road  - via Valley Road, Halifax Road, Leeds Road, Bradford Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate as follows:- Bradford Road - from  Monday, 25th March 2024 to 28th March (between 22:00 - 06:00 hours each day) Listing Lane/Valley Road - from Monday, 25th March 2024 to 5th April (all days all hours) (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WARWICK ROAD, BATLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Warwick Road, Batley from its junction with Town Street to its junction with Taylor Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Town Street, Bradford Road, Taylor Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 11th March 2024 and remain in force until 13th March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PENNINE VIEW, BIRSTALL, BATLEY)  (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Pennine View, Birstall from its junction with Nab Lane to a point adjacent XPO Logistics Exit PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Pheasant Drive, Pennine View and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence at 21:00 hours on Wednesday, 13th March 2024 and remain in force until 05:00 hours on 14th March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SCHOLES LANE/WALTON LANE/HALIFAX ROAD, CLECKHEATON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) AND (NO RIGHT TURN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Cleckheaton:

Road Closure

Scholes Lane - from its junction with Halifax Road to its junction with Manor Street

No Right Turn

Walton Lane - from Walton Lane onto Halifax Road

Halifax Road - from Halifax Road onto Walton Lane

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Halifax Road, Moorside, Moorbottom, Westgate, Parkside, Dewsbury Road,

Bradford Road, Scott Lane, Whitcliffe Road, Turnsteads Avenue, Whitechapel Road, New Road East, Scholes Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 11th March 2024 and remain in force until 15th March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BLANKET HALL STREET, HECKMONDWIKE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Blanket Hall Street, Heckmondwike from a point outside Morrisons Car Park to a point outside properties 69 & 77 Market Place PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will not be maintained.

There is no alternative diversionary route available.

The closure which came into operation on Monday, 8th January 2024 has been extended to remain in force for a further period until 28th March 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
