What is happening?

ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF ROCKCLIFFE ROAD RAWMARSH ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Rockcliffe Road from its junction with High Street/ Rawmarsh Hill to the western kerb line of Wilton Close on Wednesday 20th March 2024.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via High Street, Bellows Road, Green Lane, Barbers Avenue and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (cranage).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF ULRICA DRIVE THURCROFT ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Ulrica Drive from its junction with Rotherwood Crescent to its junction with Aymer Drive from Tuesday 12th. March until Monday 18th. March 2024.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is via Rotherwood Crescent, Aymer Drive and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (New electrical connection).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of B6066 Whitehill Lane, Brinsworth from its junction with A631 Bawtry Road to its junction with Lodge Way on Sunday 10th March 2024.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via A631 Bawtry Road, Brinsworth Lane, Whitehill Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Lings Lane from a point approximately 60m east of Goose Lane for a distance of approximately 60m east of Goose Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction from Thursday 14th March until Saturday 16th March 2024. NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac (access will be maintained for residents).

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Water connection).

PART OF BROOKHOUSE ROAD ASTON CUM AUGHTON SHEFFIELD
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Brookhouse Road from a point approximately 50m south of its junction with Mansfield Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a southerly direction on Sunday 17th. March 2024.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a for cul de sac. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH 3 HARTHILL SHEFFIELD
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath 3 Harthill commencing from a point at its junction with Carver Way and proceeding in a westerly then southerly direction around Harthill reservoir to a point at its junction with Public Footpath 30 Harthill at Grid reference SK 4869 8026 from Wednesday 20th March until Monday 27th May 2024.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians will be via the section of Public Footpath 3 Harthill along the eastern side of the reservoir.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Canal & River Trust will be undertaking construction work at the reservoir, including the decommissioning and construction of a new spillway. The footpath needs to be closed for the works to take place safely along the reservoir embankment which is narrow with steep slopes).

THE ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (OFF STREET) (PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2011 (AMENDMENT NO. 94) ORDER 2024
Wellgate Place, Rotherham

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the 28th. February 2024 which shall come into effect on the 11th. March 2024. Notice of the proposal to make the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on 1st. February 2024. The effect of the order will be to introduce an unadopted road regulated by the Council off Hollowgate, Rotherham which will serve as a ‘permit holders only’ road. The proposed days and hours of operation, the maximum period for which vehicles may wait and the scale of charges that will apply are specified in the Schedule to this notice.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.18 MALTBY ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council proposes to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath No.18 Maltby commencing from its junction with Glencairn Close and proceeding in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 750m to a point at Grid Reference SK 5397 9270 from Wednesday 20th March 2024 for a period of up to six months.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via a continuation of Public Footpath 18 Maltby and Public Footpath 2 Maltby.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Public safety and site security during ongoing site works)

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024
FOOTPATH NO.16 IN THE PARISH OF WHISTON

On 6th. March 2024 Rotherham Borough Council (“the Authority”) confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 (“the Act”).

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a footpath commencing from a point at the rear of Royds Moor Farm at Grid Reference SK 4644 9005 at the point marked A and proceeding in a south easterly direction for 37m to a point marked B at SK 4647 9004 and then in an easterly direction for 58m to a point marked C at SK 4653 9005 and then in a northerly direction for 53m to a point marked D at SK 4653 9007, as shown on the order map.

A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen free of charge at the offices of the Head of Legal Services from 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. between Monday to Friday. Copies of the confirmed order and order map may be bought there for the reasonable cost of photocopying.

The order comes into force on the date on which Rotherham Borough Council as Highway Authority certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order has been complied with, but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, or on the ground that any requirement of the 1990 Act, or of any regulation made under the 1990 Act has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, may, under section 287 of the 1990 Act, within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 and 8 of Schedule 14 to that Act make an application to the High Court.
