What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
LOWTHER STREET, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as
amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will
be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or
proceeding on Lowther Street, Coventry between number 13 and number
27 Lowther Street.
The Order will come into effect from 08:00 hours on Tuesday 12th March
2024 and is required to enable repair works to a comms pipe to take
place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said
works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will
be completed by 18:00 hours on Friday 15th March 2024.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police
constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory
undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have
access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said
works;
(d) local vehicular access to Lowther Street, Coventry
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order
may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of
Vehicles Regulations 1986.

WOODSIDE AVENUE SOUTH, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as
amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will
be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or
proceeding on Woodside Avenue South on that part commencing outside
number 118 and continuing to number 138.
The Order will come into effect from 00.01 hours on Monday 11th March
2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water Limited to complete
water connections to properties safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said
works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will
be completed by Tuesday 19th March 2024.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police
constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory
undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have
access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said
works;
(d) local vehicular access to Woodside Avenue South, Coventry

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
CHEYLESMORE, ST PATRICKS ROAD, NEW UNION STREET
AND FRIARS ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as
amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to
prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding
on the said roads as detailed in the Schedule.
The Order will come into effect at 00.01 hours on Monday 11th March 2024
and is required to facilitate the safe demolition of New Union Street Car
Park.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said
works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will
be completed by Friday 5th April 2024.

• Cheylesmore (road) for its full length
• St Patricks Road at the side of Oakwood House
One way suspension – Enabling vehicles to travel in both directions along
St Patricks Road.
Parking Suspension – Bays on St Patricks Road at the side of Prime
Student Living – Trinity View
Phase 2 (Estimated duration 1 week)
Road Closures
• New Union Street from its junction with Little Park Street to the junction
of Friars Road
• Friars Road from its junction with New Union Street to Cheylesmore.
• No entry on Friars Road for vehicles attempting to exit onto new Union
Street from the junction of Cheylesmore to New Union Street.
• Ban on Turning
• No right turn out of Cheylesmore onto Friars Road
• No left turn out of Manor house Drive onto Friars road
There will be a gap of one week in between phases 1 and 2 without any
traffic management.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police
constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory
undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have

NOTICE OF INTENT
PROPOSED INSTALLATION OF CONTROLLED PEDESTRIAN
CROSSING (PUFFIN) FACILITIES
Notice is hereby given that, Coventry City Council (“the Council”), pursuant
to its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
(as amended), intends to install controlled pedestrian crossing facilities
(PUFFIN) within the existing traffic signal controlled junctions at the
following locations.
The controlled crossing facilities (PUFFIN) will be located at the junctions of:
Beake Avenue/
Links Road
On each arm of the existing traffic signal
controlled junction (four (4) crossings)
Holyhead Road/
Moseley Ave/
Four Pounds Ave
On Holyhead Road on the western arm of the
existing traffic signal controlled junction and
on Moseley Avenue at the existing traffic
signal controlled junction (two (2) crossings)
The proposed crossing facilities should assist pedestrians to cross the
roads at these junctions more safely. The installation works should be
completed by the end of March 2025.

PROPOSED TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
CITY OF COVENTRY (WATERY LANE, PARISH OF ALLESLEY)
(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), pursuant
to its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended),
proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”).
The Council proposes to introduce ’prohibition of driving’ restrictions on
those sections of Watery Lane in the Parish of Allesley as set out in the table
below. The general effect of the proposed Order is to prevent the Watery
Lane/Clay Lane corridor from being used as a through route between Corley
Moor and Harvest Hill to improve safety for non-motorised road users
along the route. The restriction will also address issues raised by local
residents relating to antisocial activities such as fly-tipping and late night
congregations, by reducing access through this area.

HASTINGS ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as
amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order
would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering
or proceeding on that part of Hastings Road extending from number 70
Hastings Road and continuing to a point outside 83 Hastings Road.
The Order would come into effect at 18.00 hours on Monday 18th March
2024 and is required to enable repair works to a manhole cover and frame
to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said
works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works
would be completed by 06.00 hours on Tuesday 19th March 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police
constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory

amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would
be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or
proceeding on Morningside from outside property number 1 and continuing
to outside property number 35.
The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Monday 18th March
2024 and is required to facilitate the installation of new water connections
on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said
works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works
would be completed by Thursday 28th March 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police
constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory
undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have
access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said
works;
(d) local vehicular access to Morningside
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order
may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as
amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would
be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or
proceeding on Church Street from the junction with Leicester Causeway to
Harnall Lane West.
The Order would come into effect at 08:00 hours on Monday 18th March
2024 and is required to safely install a boundary box on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said
works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works
would be completed by 18:00 hours on Wednesday 20th March 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(e) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police
constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(f) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory
