What is happening?
TEMPORARY CLOSURE A417 (A40 BARNWOOD LINK ROAD NORTH AND SOUTH)
(BARNWOOD AND ELMBRIDGE WARDS) (CHURCHDOWN AND HUCCLECOTE PARISHES)
GLOUCESTER CITY AND TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intend to make an order under the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the A417
(A40 Barnwood Link Road North and South) as described in the Schedule below;

The reason for the closure is Carriageway Resurfacing.
The road is expected to be closed between 22nd March 2024 and 26th April 2024 (Nights
only) or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact

Alternative Route – as signed on site. Emergency and pedestrian access will be maintained.

(NOTICE OF PROPOSED ROAD HUMPS)
Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its powers under
Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended) intends to remove an existing flat-topped
road hump in the location described in Schedule 1 below and place a new flat-topped road
hump in the location described in Schedule 2 below:
