Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken. (A38 Birmingham Road (Northbound only), Rubery)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of A38 Birmingham Road (Northbound only) from its junction with A38 Lydiate Ash Roundabout for a distance of 2800 metres in a northerly direction to Birmingham boundary.
Reason: Carriageway patching and surface dressing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken. Alternative route: A491 Sandy Lane, A491 Stourbridge Road, A456 Kidderminster Road, A456 Birmingham Road, A456 Hagley Hill, A456 Hagley Causeway into Dudley, A38 Birmingham Road into Birmingham and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 nights (20:00-06:00) between 2 April and 15 April 2024.
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended)
(Footpaths OM-542, OM-550 and OM-552, Ombersley)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close Footpaths OM-542, OM-550 and OM-552, Ombersley for their entire length.
The Order has been made due to the construction of a solar farm, battery station and associated infrastructure.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises having a frontage to the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the necessary works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: OM-543, access road C2145, Doverdale Lane C2074, Footway along A449 heading north, OM-551, OM-549 and vice versa.
The proposed Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the Order will only be operative for 6 months commencing on 1 April 2024.
(Bromsgrove District) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2013 (Variation) Order 2024
[Prohibition of Waiting on East Road and North Road, Bromsgrove]
On 22 February 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following lengths and sides of roads in Bromsgrove: -
East Road
(East side): From its junction with North Road for a distance of 15.5 metres in a northerly direction;
(West side): from its junction with North Road for a distance of 13.5 metres in a northerly direction.
North Road (Northeast side): From its junction with East Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction and 7 metres in a south easterly direction.
(Southwest side): From the centre point of its junction with East Road for a distance of 14 metres in a north westerly direction and 20 metres in a south easterly direction. The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles. The Order will come into operation on 14 March 2024.
