(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highway in Alnwick in the County of Northumberland:
B1340 Denwick Lane from its junction with Allerburn Lea heading in a northerly direction for a length of 31 metres
B1340 Denwick Lane to Denwick Village from its point with Denwick Lane continuing on in a northerly direction for a further 720 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 11th March 2024 until 12th September 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 11th March 2024 until the 15th March 2024 between the hours of 09:00 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th September 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B1340, U3007, B6341, C423, C422, B6346 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out reapplying the road safety markings after the resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
