Suffolk, Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Traffic Restrictions due to Works.

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7314 ROAD FROM THE C675 TO THE 7311 AND C675 LOWER STREET, SOMERTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

1. U7314 road from the C675 to the 7311, Somerton from the junction with Lower Street for 315 metres northbound.

2. C675 Lower Street, Somerton from Windrush to the road from the C675 to the 7311.

This is to facilitate pole replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. Somerton Road, the B1066, Mill Road, Cooks Road, Rede Road, Brockley, Rede Road, Hawkedon, The Green and vice versa.

2. The B1066, Mill Road, Cooks Road, Rede Road, Brockley, Rede Road, Hawkedon, The Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 06/03/2024 - 07/03/2024 from 9.30am - 4.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain In force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1210 FLIXTON ROAD, SOUTH ELMHAM ST MARGARET

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U1210 Flixton Road, South Elmham St Margaret from the junction with Park Road to White House to facilitate telecommunications cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Fox Hill, St Cross Road, Back Lane, the B1062, Grange Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 06/03/2024 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5931 SHEEPGATE LANE, BADWELL ASH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5931 Sheepgate Lane, Badwell Ash from Barn Cottage for 30 metres northbound to facilitate chamber works in the carriageway. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Crownland Roaa, Walsham Le Willows, Palmer Street, Walsham Le Willows, Badwell Road, Walsham Le Willows, The Street, Badwell Ash, Richer Road, Badwell Ash, Long Thurlow Road, Great Ashfield, Long Thurlow Road, Badwell Ash and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 06/03/2024 - 08/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C614 THE STREET, BARTON MILLS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C614 The Street, Barton Mills from 50 metres east of the junction with Church Lane for 50 metres eastbound to facilitate carriageway repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, Mildenhall Road, Station Road, the B1102, the A1101, the A11, Newmarket Road, The Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 06/03/2024 from 7am - 7pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4970 RATTLESDEN ROAD, FELSHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4970 Rattlesden Road, Felsham from Wych Farm for 100 metres southbound to facilitate pole replacement and tree cutting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Rattlesden Road, Lower Green, Church Road, Brettenham Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 15/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months for longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C710 LAVENHAM ROAD, ACTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C710 Lavenham Road, Acton from 70 metres northeast of the junction with the road from the C710 to the C712 for 50 metres north eastbound to facilitate telecommunication pole replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Lavenham Road, Bull Lane, Melford Road, Acton, Barrow Hill, Slough Hill, School Farm Lane, the B1071, Melford Road, Lavenham and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 15/03/2024 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE U8523 HIGHAM MARSH AND B1068 THORINGTON STREET AND LOWER STREET, STOKE BY NAYLAND

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the;

• U8523 Higham Marsh, Stoke By Nayland from the B1068 to Marsh House

• B1068 Thorington Street, Stoke By Nayland from Higham Marsh for 350 metres westbound, and

• B1068 Lower Street, Stoke By Nayland from Higham Marsh for 150 metres eastbound.

This is to facilitate a plant crossing during an Anglian Water project. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. It is intended that these measures will operate from 15/03/2024 - 14/09/2025 (or longer if extended by the Minister).
