What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C696 WATER LANE,

LITTLE WHELNETHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C696 Water Lane, Little Whelnetham to facilitate surface dressing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A134, Unnamed Road, Water Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/03/2024 -06/03/2024 from 8am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 7, HALESWORTH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Footpath 7, Halesworth from Harrisons Lane to Footpath 16, Halesworth for safety reasons to facilitate the construction of the new housing development. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Harrisons Lane, Halesworth, Bungay Road, Holton, Footpath 8, Holton, Footpath 16, Holton and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/03/2024 - 13/09/2024 or longer if extended by the Minister.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C722

BOXFORD ROAD, KERSEY

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C722 Boxford Road, Kersey from Sampsons Hall to Rose Cottage to facilitate overhead telecommunications wire transfer works.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Williams Green, Uplands, Justice Wood, the A1071, the A1141, Hall Road, Boxford Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/03/2024 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C561

NEW ROAD, TOSTOCK

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C561 New Road, Tostock from 300 metres north of the junction with Old Woolpit Road for 80 metres northbound to facilitate pole replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Church Road, the A1088 Woolpit Road, Ixworth Road, the road from the A1088 to Thurston, Great Green, Norton Road, Station Hill, Barton Road, Beyton Road, Thurston Road, The Green, Tostock Road, the road near Ticehurst Farm, New Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 14/03/2024 but, If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3126

VARIOUS ROADS, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases;

l. the U3126 Maybush Lane, Felixstowe from no. 24 to no. 34 and the U3126 Foxgrove Lane, Felixstowe from College Green to the Junction with Priory Road and Golf Road.

2. the U3126 Thornley Road, Felixstowe from the junction with Brook Lane to the junction with Foxgrove Lane.

3. the U3126 Foxgrove Lane, Felixstowe from the junction with College Green to the junction with Picketts Road.

4. the U3126 Marcus Road, Felixstowe from the junction with Cliff Road to the junction with Golf Road.

5. the U3126 Maybush Lane, Felixstowe from the junction with High Road East to the junction with Gold Road.

6. the U3126 Brook Lane, Felixstowe from the junction with Underclitf Road East to the junction with Beach Road East, and

7. the U3126 Roseberry Road, Felixstowe from the junction with Brook Lane to the junction with Bath Road.

This is to facilitate gas mains replacement works.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. Brook Lane, Croutel Road, High Road East and vice versa.

2. Foxgrove Lane, Brook Lane and vice versa.

3. Maybush Lane, High Road East, Croutel Road, Brook Lane and vice versa.

4. Golf Road, Cliff Road and vice versa.

5. High Road East, Croutel Road, Brook Lane and vice versa.

6. Foxgrove Lane, Maybush Lane and vice versa, and

7. Bath Road, Brook Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on:

1. 14/03/2024 - 20/03/2024

2. 21/03/2024 - 29/03/2024

3. 04/04/2024 - 10/05/2024

4. 08/04/2024 - 19/04/2024

5. 17/04/2024 - 26/04/2024

6. 22/04/2024 - 28/04/2024

7. 29/04/2024 - 10/05/2024.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
