(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along part of Common Lane, Broomfleet for 20 metres from
Carr Lane junction between the hours of 08.00 on
13 March 2024 until 16.00 on 14 March 2024.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed replacement of a rotten pole and faulty stitch works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within two days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Common Lane, Carr Lane, Little Lane, Main Street, Ellerker Road, Ings Lane, Millbeck Bank and Common Road.
The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 13 March 2024 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
