CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(EGGINGTON: FOOTPATH NO 64 AND PART OF FOOTPATH NO 1)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023)
Notice is hereby given that the Order made by Central Bedfordshire Council on the 10 March 2023 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the lengths of public:
I. F ootpath No 64, Eggington which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9432 2447 to OS GR SP 9431 2468
II. Footpath No 1, Eggington which extends from OS GR SP 9431 2468 to OS GR SP
9439 2476 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 19 March 2025.
These temporary closures are required due to poor surface conditions. The closures are expected to continue from 20 March 2024 for up to twelve months.
There is no alternative route for footpath users while the closures are in operation.

If the works are not completed within twelve months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

(BILLINGTON ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Billington Road, Leighton Buzzard between Chartmoor Road and A4146.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 25 to 27 March 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via A4146, A4012, Chartmoor Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 25 March 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(KINGSWAY, STANBRIDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Kingsway, Stanbridge outside Kingsway Cottage.
This temporary closure is required to enable stop tap replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 26 to 28 March 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure. Access to be maintained for residents.
The Order will come into operation on 26 March 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Old Road, Linslade between Stoke Road and Rosebery Avenue.
This temporary closure is required to enable footway resurfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 25 March to 9 April 2024 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Leighton Road, West Street, North Street, Church Street, Plantation Road, Old Linslade Road, Stoke Road, Leighton Road, A4146, Leighton Road, Soulbury Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 25 March 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 15 March 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A4012, Appenine Way and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 11 March 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Wing Road, Linslade between the roundabout with Leighton Buzzard Bypass and Bunkers Lane.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 15 March 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Wing Road, Old Road, Soulbury Road, Leighton Road, A4146 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 12 March 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Old Linslade Road, Heath and Reach between the railway bridge and entrance to St Mary’s Church.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching and lining works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 13 to 15 March 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 7 March 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Queen Street, Leighton Buzzard between Princes Court and Bassett Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 7 to 8 March 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Mill Road, Church Street, King Street and vice versa.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO AMEND
THE TIMINGS OF THE CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE IN POPLAR CLOSE,
LEIGTON BUZZARD
Reason for proposal: The waiting restrictions were originally put down to address indiscriminate parking in the vicinity of Dovery Academy to create a safer environment for those travelling to and from school. Dovery Academy has recently changed its morning registration time so we are proposing to amend the timings to come in line with that.
Effect of the Order:
To amend the Prohibition of Waiting Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 9.30am and 3pm to 4pm to 8am to 9am and 3pm to 4pm in the Controlled Parking Zone in the following road in Leighton Buzzard:-
