HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN WATFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Valley Rise, Watford from its junction with Sheepcot Lane north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via Sheepcot Lane, High Road and Ganders Ash.
2. that length of Hazel Tree Road, Watford from its junction with Beechwood Rise north eastwards to its junction with Leggatts Wood Avenue, a distance of approximately 236m.
An alternative route will be via Beechwood Rise, Cherry Tree Road and Leggatts Wood Avenue.
3. that length of Albert Road North, Watford from its junction with King Street south eastwards to its junction with Monmouth Road, a distance of approximately 115m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. that length of Bellmount Wood Avenue, Watford from its junction with Cassiobury Drive south westwards, southwards and south eastwards to its junction with Langley Way, a distance of approximately 428m.
An alternative route will be via Cassiobury Drive and Langley Way.
5. that length of Berceau Walk, Watford from its junction with Langley Way south eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
6. that length of Bucks Avenue, Watford from its junction with A4008 Pinner Road south eastwards to its junction with Sherwoods Avenue, a distance of approximately 246m.
An alternative route will be via A4008 Pinner Road and Sherwoods Road.
7. that length of Cedar Road, Watford from its junction with Oxhey Road north eastwards to its junction with Kingsfield Road, a distance of approximately 430m.
An alternative route will be via Oxhey Road, A4125 Eastbury Road and Kingsfield Road or via Kingsfield Road and Oxhey Road.
8. that length of Granville Road, Watford from its junction with King Street south eastwards to its junction with The Crescent, a distance of approximately 150m.
An alternative route will be via King Street, Smith Street and The Crescent.
9. that length of Milton Street, Watford from its junction with Parker Street north westwards to its junction with Shakespeare Street, a distance of approximately 210m.
An alternative route will be via Parker Street, Leavesden Road and Shakespeare Street.
10. that length of Sherwoods Road, Watford from its junction with A4008 Pinner Road north eastwards to its junction with Bucks Avenue, a distance of approximately 257m.
An alternative route will be via A4008 Pinner Road and Bucks Avenue.
11. that length of Smith Street, Watford from its junction with King Street south westwards to its junction with The Crescent, a distance of approximately 120m.
An alternative route will be via King Street, Granville Road and The Crescent.
12. that length of Strangeways, Watford from its junction with Courtlands Drive westwards, northwards and north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
13. that length of The Crescent, Watford from its junction with Smith Street south westwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length. An alternative route will be via Smith Street, King Street and Granville Road.
14. that length of Richmond Drive, Watford from its junction with Langley Way south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Parkside Drive, a distance of approximately 346m.
An alternative route will be via Langley Way and Parkside Drive.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN A412 ST ALBANS ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A412 St Albans Road, Watford from its junction with Leavesden Road north eastwards to its junction with Balmoral Road, a distance of approximately 563m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road, A411 Beechen Grove, A4008 Stephenson Way, A41 (North Western Avenue Colne Way/North Western Avenue) and A412 Albans Road or via A412 St Albans Road, A41 North Western Avenue, A411 (Hempstead Road/Hyde Road/The Avenue) and A412 St Albans Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE BUS/CYCLE LANE SITUATED ON THE SOUTH AND NORTH WEST SIDES OF STATION APPROACH, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all buses/pedal cycles from using the bus/cycle lane situated on the south and north west sides of Station Approach, Rickmansworth from its junction with Station Road south westwards and north westwards to its junction with A412 Rectory Road, a distance of approximately 97m ("the Bus/Cycle Lane").
An alternative route will be via Homestead Road and A412 (Park Road/ Rectory Road).
Bus' has the same meaning as 'public service vehicle' given in Section 1 of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981. The definition of a 'pedal cycle' means a cycle powered only by foot or hand. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Bus/Cycle Lane.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access, and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Barnhurst Path, South Oxhey from its westernmost junction with Ashridge Drive south eastwards and north eastwards to its easternmost junction with Ashridge Drive, a distance of approximately 438m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Ashridge Drive, South Oxhey from its westernmost junction with B4542 Prestwick Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 119m.
An alternative route will be via B4542 Prestwick Road.
3. that length of Ashridge Drive, South Oxhey from its easternmost junction with B4542 Prestwick Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 203m.
An alternative route will be via B4542 Prestwick Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CLAY LANE, BUSHEY HEATH) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Clay Lane, Bushey Heath from its junction with A409 Heathbourne Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 90m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via A409 Heathbourne Road, Magnaville Road and Clay Lane.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BEDFORD STREET, WATFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bedford Street, Watford from a point 50m north east of its junction with A412 St Albans Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road"). There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SILVERDALE ROAD, BUSHEY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Silverdale Road, Bushey from a point in line with the south eastern boundary of No.32 Silverdale Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 25m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Silverdale Road, Grange Road, Belmont Road, B462 Aldenham Road and Silverdale Road. The Order is needed because water service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TOMS LANE, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Toms Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with Primrose Hill north eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Primrose Hill, Station Road, Gallows Hill, Gallows Hill Lane, High Street, Bedmond Road, High Street and Toms Lane. The Order is needed because water main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Bedford Street, Watford from its junction with A412 St Albans Road north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Cromer Road, Watford from its junction with Bradshaw Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 164m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. that length of Cart Path, Watford from its junction with Horseshoe Lane south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. that length of Cecil Street, Watford from its junction with Leavesden Road south eastwards to its junction with A412 St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 330m.
An alternative route will be via Leavesden Road, Judge Street and A412 St Albans Road or via A412 St Albans Road, Regent Street and Leavesden Road.
5. that length of Durban Road East, Watford from its junction with Whippendell Road south eastwards for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via Whippendell Road, Addiscombe Road and Chester Road or via Whippendell Road, Queens Avenue, A4145 Hagden Lane, Benskin Road, Harwoods Road and Chester Road.
6. that length of Durban Road West, Watford from its junction with Mildred Avenue north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Whippendell Road, a distance of approximately 324m.
An alternative route will be via Mildred Avenue, Park Avenue and Whippendell Road.
7. that length of Kensington Avenue, Watford from its junction with Queens Avenue north eastwards to its junction with Harwoods Road, a distance of approximately 326m.
An alternative route will be via Queens Avenue, Whippendell Road and Harwoods Road.
8. that length of Kings Avenue, Watford from its junction with Harwoods Road south westwards to its junction with Queens Avenue, a distance of approximately 332m.
An alternative route will be via Harwoods Road, Whippendell Road and Queens Avenue.
9. that length of Caxton Way, Watford from its northernmost junction with Greenhill Crescent south westwards, north westwards, south eastwards, eastwards and north eastwards for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via Greenhill Crescent.
ADDITIONALLY the existing one way traffic system on that length of Greenhill
Crescent, Watford from its northernmost junction with Caxton Way south
eastwards for a distance of approximately 267 metres will be temporarily
suspended to enable all vehicular traffic to travel in both directions within
this length of road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hunton Bridge Hill/ Bridge Road, Hunton Bridge from its junction with Hamilton Road south westwards to its junction with Old Mill Road, a distance of approximately 135m ("the length of Roads"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Hunton Bridge Hill, South Way, Langley Lane, Aerodrome Way, Ashfields, High Road, A41 (North Western Avenue/ Hempstead Road/Watford Road) and Bridge Road or via Bridge Road, A41 (Watford Road/Hempstead Road/North Western Avenue/Gadeside), Aerodrome Way, Langley Lane, South Way and Hunton Bridge Hill. The Order is needed because brick work repairs are proposed to be executed near the length of Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Hartforde Road, Borehamwood from its junction with Caishowe Road south westwards to its junction with Brook Road, a distance of approximately 347m.
An alternative route will be via Hartforde Road, B5378 Cowley Hill, Gateshead Road and Brook Road.
2. that length of Hillside Avenue, Borehamwood from its junction with Furzehill Road north eastwards to its junction with Cardinal Avenue, a distance of approximately 204m.
An alternative route will be via Furzehill Road, B5378 Shenley Road, A5135 Elstree Road, Bullhead Road and Hillside Avenue or via Furzehill Road, Arundel Drive, Thornbury Gardens, Bullhead Road and Hillside Avenue.
3. that length of Furzehill Road, Borehamwood from its junction with Elmwood Avenue north westwards to its junction with Shakespeare Drive, a distance of approximately 356m.
An alternative route will be via Furzehill Road, Arundel Drive, Thornbury Gardens, Bullhead Road, A5135 Elstree Way, B5378 Shenley Road and Furzehill Road.
4. that length of Grange Road, Bushey from its junction with Woodlands Road south westwards to its junction with Highfield Road, a distance of approximately 364m.
An alternative route will be via Grange Road, The Avenue, B462 Aldenham Road, Hillside Road and Highfield Road or via Grange Road, The Avenue, Finch Lane, Falconer Road, A411 London Road and Grange Road.
5. that length of Silverdale Road, Bushey from its junction with Grange Road north westwards to its junction with B462 Aldenham Road, a distance of approximately 307m.
An alternative route will be via Grange Road, The Avenue and B462 Aldenham Road.
6. that length of Hillside Road, Bushey from its junction with Grange Road north westwards to its junction with Highfield Road, a distance of approximately 160 m.
An alternative route will be via Grange Road, The Avenue, B462 Aldenham Road and Hillside Road.
7. that length of Owens Way, Croxley Green from its junction with Repton Way north westwards, south westwards and clockwise for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
8. that length of Repton Way, Croxley Green from its junction with Owens Way north eastwards to its junction with Baldwins Lane, a distance of approximately 97m.
An alternative route will be via Sherborne Way, Lancing Way and Owens Way.
9. that length of Codicote Drive, Watford from its junction with Garston Lane north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Bushey as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a new bus gate restriction in part of Watford as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
