What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(C6006 PROMENADE, BARROW IN FURNESS

AND LONG LANE, DALTON IN FURNESS)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway work to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. C6006 Promenade, Barrow in Furness, from its junction with Mill Lane, extending in a northerly direction for approx 200m.

Alternative Route: via North Scale, Cows Tarn Lane, West Shore Road and Mill Lane.

Duration: From 4th March 2024 for approx. 8 days (Ref: TTROW/9528)

2. C6003 Long Lane, Dalton in Furness, from its junction with Abbey Road, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 100m.

Alternative Route: via Abbey Road, Market Street, Station Road, Greystone Road, Coronation Drive and Newton Road.

Duration: From 7th March 2024 for approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROW/9532)

The Order will come into operation on 4th March 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
