Notice of Proposals
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Rectory Lane Standish) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Rectory Lane Standish at the Railway Bridge during the period of one day commencing on 16/06/2024 from 09:00 to 15:00.
The alternative route for traffic is: A5106 Chorley Road, A49 Wigan Road, High Street and B5239 Market Street.
The Order is required to allow access/assessment of bridge.
(Windermere Road Hindley)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Windermere Road Hindley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Windermere Road Hindley during the period of one day on 10/05/2024. The alternative route for traffic is: George Street, Thirlmere Road and Ennerdale Road.
The Order is necessary to allow poling works.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Sunny Drive Orrell) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Sunny Drive Orrell during the period of five days commencing on 04/03/2024 to 08/03/2024.
The alternative route for traffic is: West Mount, Orrell Road and East Mount.
The Order is necessary to allow a new electric connection.
(Hall Lane Hindley) (Temporary Closure)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Hall Lane Hindley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Hall Lane Hindley at Hindley Railway Station during the period of 19:00 to 22:00 on 04/04/2024.
The alternative route for traffic is: B5239 Bolton Road, B5239 Dicconson Lane, A6 Chorley Road, B5236 Church Street, A58 Wigan Road, A58 Castle Hill Road and A58 Bridge Street.
The Order is necessary to allow a frame and cover replacement.
(Pennine Avenue Winstanley)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Pennine Avenue Winstanley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Pennine Avenue Winstanley during the period of five days commencing on 15/04/2024 to 19/04/2024.
The alternative route for traffic is: Holmes House Avenue and Cleveland Avenue.
The Order is necessary to allow a new electrical connection.
(Barley Brook Street Wigan)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2024 Notice of Proposals
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant
Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Barley Brook Street Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Barley Brook Street Wigan during the period of five days commencing on 03/06/2024 to 07/06/2024.
The alternative route for traffic is: Barnsley Street, Park Road and Hodges Street.
The Order is necessary to allow a new electric connection.
