Swindon, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures and Restrictions
What is happening?
SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS
Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make following orders:
(STR000777 City Corner/Short Drove. Hinton Parva) This Order is being introduced for THAMES WATER works and will impose a restriction on driving at the junction of City Corner and Short Drove, Hinton Parva. Traffic to be diverted via The Lane, Church Lane, Body Horse Hill and vice versa. Order effective on the 29 March 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the works will be completed by 12 April 2024.
(STR000784 Lady Lane, Blunsdon) This Order is being introduced for road surfaces works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Lady Lane between B4019 and Salzgitter Drive, east of the stadium. Traffic to be diverted via Thamesdown Drive and Salzgitter Drive. Order effective on the 1 April 2024 for 6 months but it is expected the restriction will only be in place until the 9 April 2024. (STR000775 Crawford Close, Freshbrook) This Order is being introduced for SSEN works and will prohibit pedestrians from proceeding on the footpath which connects Crawford Close to Bloomsbury Close, Freshbrook. Pedestrians to use the alternative footpath. Order effective on the 15 April 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the restrictions will only be in place until the
26 April 2024.
(STR000774 Langport Close, Freshbrook) This Order is being introduced for SSEN works and will prohibit pedestrians from proceeding on the footway which connects Langport Close to Selby Crescent Pedestrians to use the route from Langport Close, along Gainsborough Way into Selby Crescent. Order effective on the 25 March 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the restrictions will only be in place until the 29 April 2024.
(STR000787 Hatchett Hill and Church Row, Hinton Parva) This Order is being introduced for OPENREACH works and will impose a restriction on driving on Hatchett Hill between Little Hinton Lane and White Hill and Church Row between Tuckers Lane and Little Hinton Lane. Traffic to be diverted via Hatchett Hill, Little Hinton Lane, Icknield Way, Nell Hill, The Ridgeway and White Hill. Order effective on the 8 April 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the works will be completed by 12 April 2024.
(STR000792 Greenbridge Road and Marlowe Avenue, Walcot, Swindon) This Order is being introduced for Lovells Development works and will impose of a closure of Greenbridge Road between Marlowe Avenue and entrance to MOT centre and and Marlowe Avenue between Greenbridge Road and Spenser Close. Traffic to be diverted as follow: Greenbridge Road Closure via B4006 Drakes Way, Marlowe Avenue and vice versa. Marlowe Avenue Closure via Maitland Road, Frobisher Drive, Courtenay Road Order effective on the 2 April 2024 for 6 months but the road closure for Greenbridge Road is on the 2 to 10 to April 2024 and Marlowe Avenue 11 to 19 April 2024.
(STR000793 Hodson Lane, Hodson) This Order is being introduced for OPENREACH works and will impose a restriction on driving on Hodson Lane from Hodson Farm for a distance of 85 metres. Traffic to be diverted via B4005, B4005 Brimble Hill, Marlborough Road, Moormead Road, Swindon Road, A4361 Croft Road, B4006 Pipers Way, B4006, Broome Manor Lane and vice versa. Order effective on the 16 April 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the works will take place on the 16 April 2024 between the times of 09:30 and 15:30 only.
(STR000796 Green Lane, Wroughton) This Order is being introduced for WALES AND WEST works and will impose a restriction on driving on Green Lane outside Clovelly. Traffic to be diverted via Priors Hill, Devizes Road, and Marlborough Road. Order effective on the 30 April 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the restriction in only required until the 2 May 2024.
(STR000791 Turnball, Chiseldon) This Order is being introduced for THAMES WATER works and will impose a restriction on driving on Turnball between May's Lane and Slipper Lane. Traffic to be diverted via New Road and May's Lane. Order effective on the 2 April 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the works will be completed by 4 April 2024.
