Order 2023

Leeds City Council made the above Orders on 29th February 2024 under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order which comes into force on 4th March 2024 is to introduce:

1.  Area of Highway Designated As A Parking Place For Police Vehicles Only, All days, All hours: Harewood Avenue, Harewood, the north side – that part of the layby; From a point 235 metres west of its intersection with the extended south western kerb line of Moor Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 28 metres; Harrogate Road, Harewood, the northwest side – that part of the verge; From a point 158.5 metres south west of its intersection with the extended southern kerb line of Foreshot Lane in a south westerly direction for a distance of 13 metres; Ridge Road, Micklefield, the east side – that part of the verge ;From a point 15.5 metres south of its junction with the projected southern kerb line of Phoenix Avenue in a southerly direction for a distance of 7.5 metres in a southerly direction; Selby Road, Micklefield, the north side – that part of the layby; From a point 888 metres west of its junction with Great North Road roundabout in a westerly direction for a distance of 8 metres; Wakefield Road, Swillington the west side – that part of the verge; From a point 20.5 metres south of its intersection with the extended south western kerb line of Whitehouse Lane in a southerly direction for a distance of 7.5 metres.

2. 50 MPH Speed Limit on: parts of A61 Harrogate Road; A63 Selby Road; A642 Wakefield Road; A656 Barndale Road; A656 Ridge Road; A659 Arthington Lane; A659 Harewood Avenue; A659 Harewood Road; Weardley; and the entire length of A659 Otley Road.

3. The revocation of existing items as identified in the draft Order Schedules.

A copy of the Orders together with plans showing the affected sections of highway may be obtained by e-mailing legal. development@leeds.gov.uk. If you wish to object to question the validity of an Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not be complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date upon which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
