Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
Bobbing Hill & Cold Harbour Lane, Bobbing, ME9 8TA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Bobbing Hill & Cold Harbour Lane, Bobbing, on or after 25th March 2024, with estimated completion by 15th April 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in it’s entirety (from A2 Key Street Roundabout, to the footpath which connects to Sheppey Way), to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Please note two teams from SGN will be collaboratively working from 19th March 2024, with estimated completion by 15th April 2024. New connection works will be taking place from 19th March 2024, with estimated completion by 27th March 2024, followed by these mains replacement works.
The alternative route is via Cold Harbour Lane, Rook Lane, Hill Farm View (new road through a development), A2 Keycol Hill, Key Street Roundabout and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Brewery Road, Sittingbourne, ME10 2ED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Brewery Road, Sittingbourne, from 19.00 hours on 26th March 2024, with estimated completion by 06.00 hours on 27th March 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via High Street, North Street, Saffron Way, Mill Way, St Pauls Street, Crown Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bull Lane, Newington, ME9 7NB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow new electrical connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bull Lane, Newington, on or after 25th March 2024, for up to one day, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Stanfield, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Playstool Road, A2 London Road, Lower Hartlip Road, Old House Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Fox Lane, Boughton Under Blean, ME13 9PG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out,Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Fox Lane, Boughton Under Blean, on or after 14th March 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Foxhill Stud, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Fox Lane, South Street, Hickmans Green, Colonels Lane, The Street, Stockers Hill, Canterbury Road, A2 London Road, A2 Canterbury Road, Selling Road, Fox Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Gadby Road, Sittingbourne, ME10 1TJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Gadby Road, Sittingbourne, on or after 12th March 2024, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Prentis Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Staplehurst Road, A2 London Road, Sandford Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Grove Road, Selling, ME13 9RW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow new electrical connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Grove Road, Selling, on or after 13th March 2024, for up to 2 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 580m east from the junction with Reynolds Grove Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Reynolds Grove Road, Stumpers Road, Perry Wood and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Head Hill, Goodnestone & Head Hill Road, Graveney. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Head Hill, Goodnestone & Head Hill Road, Graveney, on or after 25th March 2024, for up to two days, between the hours of 09.00 and 15.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between The Lodge and Sunnybank, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There will be a banksman with Stop/Go boards at the junction of Monkshill Road and Seasalter Road to manage vehicles movements.
The alternative route for any through traffic:-
For vehicles travelling north is via Head Hill, Whitstable Road, A299 Thanet Way, A2990 Thanet Way, B2205 Borstal Hill, Joy Lane, Faversham Road and Seasalter Road.
For vehicles travelling south is via Seasalter Road, Faversham Road, Joy Lane, B2205 Borstal Hill, A2990 Thanet Way, A290 Clapham Hill, A299 Thanet Way, Staple Street, Staple Street Road, Whitstable Road and Head Hill.
For over height vehicles is via Head Hill, Whitstable Road, A299 Thanet Way, Highstreet Road, Monkshill Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Hearts Delight, Borden, ME9 8HX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hearts Delight, Borden, on or after 13th March 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.30 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Hearts Delight Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via The Street, Pond Farm Road, Sutton Baron Road, Wrens Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
High Street, Milton. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Street, Milton, from 19.00 hours on 28th March 2024, with estimated completion by 06.00 hours on 29th March 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Hinde House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Crown Road and the B2006 St. Paul’s Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Highsted Road, Sittingbourne, ME10 4QF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Highsted Road, Sittingbourne, on or after 29th March 2024, for up to 15 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Farm Crescent, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Bell Road, Brenchley Road, Swanstree Avenue, Highsted Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Selling Road, Selling. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Selling Road, Selling, on or after 11th March 2024, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 08.00 and 16.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Coach House, Brookes Croft, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Selling Road, Winding Hill, Newhouse Lane, Ashford Road, Canterbury Road, Selling Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Teynham Street, Teynham, ME9 9EU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Teynham Street, Teynham, on or after 29th March 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.30 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Farmhouse Banks and Hinkleys Mill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Marsh Road, Deerton Street, Lower Road, Conyer Road, Teynham Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Uplees Road, Oare. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Uplees Road, Oare, on or after 11th March 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Greenhouse, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
