What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
Castle Hill, Hartley, DA3 7BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of sewer cleaning, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Castle Hill, Hartley, on or after 27th March 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Steep Hill and Saddle Gate.
The alternative route is via Castle Hill, Ash Road, Hartley Road, B260 Main Road, Fawkham Road, and vice versa.
Chevening Road, Chipstead, TN14 6HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a National Highways bridge inspection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chevening Road, Chipstead, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 5 nights between 22.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed on the bridge over the M25.
The alternative route is via Chevening Road, Chevening Cross Road, B2211 Ovenden Road/Chevening Road, A25 Main Road/Westerham Road, Homedean Road and vice versa.
Hills Lane, Knatts Valley, TN15 6XU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of tree cutting around overhead lines, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hills Lane, Knatts Valley, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Fernhurst and Sunnydene.
The alternative route is via Hills Lane, Knatts Valley Road, Tinkerpot Lane, Goodbury Road and vice versa.
Little Wood, Sevenoaks, TN13 3RJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a new gas connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Little Wood, Sevenoaks, on or after 25th March 2024 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Apple Tree Cottage.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Pilgrims Way West, Otford, TN14 5JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of the removal of overgrown vegetation from the area, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way West, Otford, from 01.00hrs on 17th March 2024, with estimated completion by 04.00hrs on 18th March 2024 or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge.
The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way West, London Road, A224 London Road, A25 Maidstone Road/Bradbourne Vale Road, A225 Otford Road/Sevenoaks Road, High Street and vice versa.
Ship Lane & Wood Street, Swanley, BR8 7FS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of tree cutting, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ship Lane and Wood Street, Swanley, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.30hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Button Street and the bridge over the M25.
The alternative route is via Ship Lane, A225 Main Road/Dartford Road, A20 London Road, Button Street and vice versa.
Spode Lane, Cowden, TN8 7HW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a new customer connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Spode Lane, Cowden, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 2 Waystrode Cottages.
The alternative route is via Spode Lane, B2026 Hartfield Road, Butterwell Hill, High Street, North Street and vice versa.
Underriver House Road, Underriver, TN15 0SH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Underriver House Road, Underriver, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hollandhurst.
The alternative route is via Underriver House Road, Carters Hill, Mill Lane and vice versa.
