Maidstone, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

B2163 Plough Wents Road, Chart Sutton, ME17 3LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new kerbs to be installed, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Plough Wents Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 25th March 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Welsh Cottage, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A274 Sutton Road, A229 Loose Road, A229 Linton Road, B2163 Heath Road, B2163 Plough Wents Road and vice versa.

 

Burberry Lane, Leeds, ME17 1RJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Burberry Lane, Leeds, on or after 11th March 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction with B2163 Lower Street and the junction with George Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via B2163 Lower Street, George Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Foster Street, Maidstone, ME15 6HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow manhole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foster Street, Maidstone, on or after 28th March 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the NHS Clinic, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any eastbound through traffic is via A229 Upper Stone Street, Brunswick Street and Priory Road.

The alternative route for any westbound through traffic is via Priory Road, A249 Knightrider Street, A229 Mill Street, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street and A229 Upper Stone Street.

 

Lower Fant Road, Maidstone, ME16 8TQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Fant Road, Maidstone, on or after 26th March 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 49. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Fant Road, Upper Fant Road, Bower Lane, Lower Fant Road and vice versa.

 

Sheephurst Lane, Marden, TN12 9NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sheephurst Lane, Marden, on or after 12th March 2024, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Little Sheephurst Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Sheephurst Lane, B2162 Maidstone Road, Claygate, Collier Street, Green Lane, Hunton Road, Pattenden Lane, B2079 West End, B2079 Goudhurst Road, Sheephurst Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Sherenden Lane, Staplehurst, TN12 0HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sherenden Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 13th March 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Wilding Wood, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Sherenden Lane, B2079 Goudhurst Road, Curtis Green Lane, Wilden Park Road, Sherenden Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
