What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (U6735 Marina Court Avenue, Bexhill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Marina Court Avenue – for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 20 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 20 and 26 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3042 Sedlescombe Gardens, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Sedlescombe Gardens – from the junction with U3042 Hollybank Gardens to the junction with U3042 Drapers Way.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 21 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 and 23 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6966 Workhouse Lane, Icklesham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow GHS Tree Surgery to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Workhouse Lane – from the junction with A259(T) Main Road to Chantry Lodge.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259(T) Main Road – U6967 Laurel Lane – U6966 Workhouse Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 19 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 and 20 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3103 Field Way, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Field Way – from the junction with U3103 Warren Close to the junction with U3103 Heron Close.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3103 Reedswood Road, Field Way and vice versa.
The Order commences 18 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 18 and 19 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6414 Grove Lane, Iden) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6414 Houghton Lane – C295 Houghton Green Lane – B2082 Iden Road, Main Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 18 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 18 and 21 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C19 Castle Road, Bodiam) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Castle Road – from the junction with B2244 Hawkhurst Road to the junction with C308 Peters Green Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2244 Hawkhurst Road, Junction Road (KCC), Conghurst Lane (KCC) – A268 Rye Road (KCC), Megrims Hill (KCC), Queen Street (KCC), Bodiam Road (KCC) – C308 Peters Green Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 18 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 18 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C346 Whydown Road, Hooe, Ninfield & Bexhill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Whydown Road – from the junction with C346 Straight Lane to the junction with U6208 Sandhurst Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C346 Straight Lane – B2095 Hooe Road, Lower Street – C1128 Lower Street – A269 Bexhill Road, Ninfield Road – C703 Pear Tree Lane – C346 Whydown Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 17 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U6535 Terminus Avenue, Bexhill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which
will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Terminus Avenue – from the junction with U6535 Sutherland Avenue to the junction with P6685 Jasmine Way.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6535 Terminus Road – B2098 Terminus Road – U6551 Sackville Road – U6550 Wickham Avenue, Cooden Drive – B2182 Cooden Drive – U6536 Westcourt Drive – U6535 Terminus Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 18 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 18 and 29 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7111 Jenners Lane & U7698 Boreham Lane, Wartling) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Jenners Lane – from the junction with U7112 Wood Lane to the junction with U7698 Boreham Lane.
Boreham Lane – from the junction with U7111 Jenners Lane to the junction with the C17 Wartling Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7698 Boreham Lane – C17 Wartling Road – U7112 Wood Lane – U7111 Jenners Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 18 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 18 and 19 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3206 George Street, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
George Street – for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 4 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 4 March 2024, depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Sandwich Drive – from the junction with U3113 The Links to the junction with U3113 Muirfield Rise.

The Order commences 6 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U6209 Freezeland Lane, Bexhill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow O2 to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Freezeland Lane – from the junction with C345 Watermill Lane to the junction with A269 Ninfield Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C345 Watermill Lane – A2691 Haven Brook Avenue – A269 Ninfield Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 6 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U3188 Wellington Mews, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Wellington Mews – from the junction with U3188 Elford Street to the junction with U3188 Stonefield Place.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3188 Elford Street – A2101 Queens Road – U3188 Stonefield Place and vice versa.
The Order commences 7 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U3263 Hoads Wood Road, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Hoads Wood Road – from the junction with U3263 Pilot Road to the junction with C215 Elphinstone Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3263 Pilot Road – U3260 St Helens Down – B2093 The Ridge – C215 Elphinstone Road and vice versa.
The Order commenced 29 August 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 4 and 21 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3136 Archery Road, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Lightning Fibre to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Archery Road – from the junction with U3138 Quarry Hill to the junction with U3135 Highlands Gardens.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3136 Archery Road – U3106 West Hill Road – U3138 Quarry Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 4 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 4 and 6 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

The Order commences 4 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (C18 Station Road, Robertsbridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Station Road – 20 metres either side of the level crossing. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C18 Station Road, Brightling Road, Rectory Hill – C280 Cackle Street – B2096 Darwell Hill, Kane Hythe Road – A271 North Trade Road – A2100 London Road – A21 Johns Cross Road – C18 George Hill, High Street, Station Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 2 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 and 4 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Cambridge Road – from the junction with U3162 Dorset Place to the junction with A21 Cambridge Gardens.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic westbound via: A21 Cambridge Gardens, Cornwallis Terrace – U3182 Devonshire Road – U3169 South Terrace – A2101 Queens Road, Park Gates roundabout, St Helens Road – A21 Sedlescombe Road North, London Road, Bohemia Road, Cambridge Road and eastbound via: A21 Cambridge Road, Bohemia Road, London Road, Sedlescombe Road North – A2101 St Helens Road, Queens Road, Queens Parade, Albert Road – A259 Denmark Place – A21 Harold Place, Havelock Road, Cornwallis Terrace – U3181 Priory Street – A21 Cambridge Road.
The Order commenced 23 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 8 and 9 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A269 Standard Hill, Ninfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Standard Hill – from the junction with A271 Kitchenham Road to the junction with U7699 Coombe Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A271 Boreham Hill, The Strait, Windmill Hill Road, Gardner Street, Hailsham Road, New Road, Amberstone, Hawkswood Road, Upper Horsebridge, Lower Horsebridge – A22 Boship roundabout, Hailsham bypass, Polegate Road, Hailsham Road – A27(T) Cop Hall roundabout, Polegate bypass, Dittons Road roundabout, Pevensey bypass, Pevensey Haven roundabout – A259(T) Marsh Road, Barnhorn Road, Little Common roundabout, Little Common Road – A2690 Combe Valley Way – A2691 Haven Brook Avenue – A269 Ninfield Road, Bexhill Road, The Green, High Street, Standard Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 4 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on the following periods depending upon the weather conditions: from 19:00hrs to 07:00hrs between 4 and 11 March 2024 (with weekend working); from 19:00hrs to 07:00hrs between 13 and 16 March 2024 ; from 19:00hrs to 07:00hrs between 23 and 26 April 2024.
