Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
B2056 Cornwall Road, Walmer, CT14 9BH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2056 Cornwall Road, Walmer, on or after 13th March 2024 for up to 8 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via B2056 Hamilton Road, B2056 Mill Road, B2056 Manor Road, A258 London Road, A258 Queen Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Beach Street, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Deal Castle Road, A258 Victoria Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Dover Road and B2056 Cornwall Road.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via B2056 Cornwall Road, A258 Dover Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Victoria Road, Ranelagh Road, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Beach Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Queen Street, A258 London Road, B2056 Manor Road, B2056 Mill Road and B2056 Hamilton Road.
Back Street, Ringwould, CT14 8FY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Back Street, Ringwould, on or after 25th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Home Farm Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Back Street, Front Street, Hangmans Lane and vice versa.
Bay Hill, St Margarets Bay, CT15 6DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bay Hill, St Margarets Bay, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of St Margarets Road and Hotel Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Bell Grove, Aylesham, CT3 3AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow sewer works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bell Grove, Aylesham, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 36 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Heritage Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ackholt Road, Ratling Road, Burgess Road, Heritage Road and vice versa.
High Street, Sandwich Road & Woodnesborough Lane, Eastry, CT13 0LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Steet, Sandwich Road & Woodnesborough Lane, Eastry, on or after 25th March 2024 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
High Street will be closed at the junctions with Woodnesborough Lane & Sandwich Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Sandwich Road will be closed at the junctions with Woodnesborough Lane & High Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Woodnesborough Lane will be closed at the junctions with High Street & Sandwich Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandwich Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, Dover Road, Lower Street, High Street and vice versa.
Hoaden Lane, Ash, CT3 2JY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hoaden Lane, Ash, on or after 12th March 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Overland Lane and Church Hill, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hoaden Lane, Sheerwater Road, Padbrook Lane, Church Hill and vice versa.
King Street, Sandwich, CT13 9BJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of King Street, Sandwich, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Austins Lane and St Peters Street, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via King Street, Galliard Street, New Street, Cattle Market, Harnet Street, Strand Street, High Street and The Chain.
The one-way Order will be suspended, between the junctions of St Peters Street and The Chain to allow access. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
London Road, Temple Ewell, CT16 3BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of London Road, Temple Ewell, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Stalisfield Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via London Road, Canterbury Road, Lydden Hill, A2 Dover Road, A256 Whitfield Hill and vice versa.
Richborough Road, Ash, CT3 2NQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Richborough Road, Ash, on or after 14th March 2024 for up to 8 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Sandhills Farm to Potts Farm, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cop Street Road, Cop Street, A257 Ash Bypass, Cooper Street Drove, Richborough Road and vice versa.
Various Roads, Wootton, CT4 6RD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Due to Motorsports events taking place, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on various roads, as detailed below:
Denton Lane
Shelvin Lane
Geddinge Lane
Side Hills
Wootton Lane
The closures are planned on the following dates:
30th March 2024
1st April 2024
20th July 2024
21st July 2024
2nd November 2024
3rd November 2024
The road closures are as detailed below:
On the 2nd November – all road closures will be from 7am until 6pm
Denton Lane will be closed for the entire length, between 07:00 hours and 13:00 hours
Shelvin Lane will be closed for the entire length, between 07:00 hours and 13:00 hours
Geddinge Lane will be closed between the entrance to AB Crush Panelcraft and the junction of Dumbrill Hill, between 07:00 hours and 13:00 hours, and between 16:30 hours and 19:00 hours
Side Hills will be closed for the entire length, between 07:00 hours and 13:00 hours
Wootton Lane will be closed for the entire length, between 07:00 hours and 13:00 hours
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A260 Canterbury Road, A260 The Street, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 Old Dover Road, A2046 Box Iron Road, A2 Barham Slip Eastbound On, and A2 Dover Road.
