Old Tram Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY BW0602071 PRESTON, PRESTON CITY, NON DEFINITIVE ROUTE TO WHICH THE PUBLIC HAVE ACCESS AND PART OF PUBLIC BRIDLEWAYS BW0702079 & BW0702080 WALTON LE DALE, SOUTH RIBBLE
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpath indicated below:-
Public Bridleway BW0602071 Preston, Preston City, from Point A (SD 5415 – 2867) in a generally southerly direction for approximately 50 metres to Point B (SD 5416 – 2862), and continuing along 0702 - non definitive route to which the public have access, in a generally southerly direction for approximately 60 metres to Point C (SD 5417 – 2856).
Part of Public Bridleways BW0709079 & BW0709080 Walton Le Dale, South Ribble Borough from Point D (SD 5416 2856) in a generally easterly direction for approximately 10 metres to Point E (SD 5417 – 2856).
The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the routes.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the bridleways and non definitive route to which the public have access, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the bridleways and non definitive route tom which the public have access will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works
The Order will be operative from the 4th March, 2024, until the 24th March, 2024, or until the works are completed within this period.
