DERBY CITY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the
roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ONE WAY CLOSURE ORDER ON
RAILWAY TERRACE AND MIDLAND ROAD AND TEMPORARY
SUSPENSION OF LEFT TURN ORDER ON LEEDS PLACE,
SHEFFIELD PLACE, PARK STREET AND
CARRINGTON STREET AND TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF
PARKING BAYS ON MIDLAND ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 4 March 2024 21:00 to 14 March 2024 07:00 WHERE:
Railway Terrace, one-way southbound only from its junction from
Siddals Road to its junction with Midland Road. Midland Road,
one-way southbound only from its junction with Railway Terrace to its
junction with Carrington Street (except buses). Railway Terrace,
suspension of left turn on Leeds Place and Sheffield Place, Midland
Road, suspension of left turn on Park Street and Carrington Street
and suspension of parking bays from adjacent to the War Memorial
to Carrington Street REASON: Construction works ALTERNATIVE
ROUTE: Motor vehicles: Midland Road – London Road – Traffic
Street – The Cock Pitt – St Alkmunds Way – Station Approach.
Cyclists: Carrington Street – Canal Street – Siddals Road
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
LOMBARD STREET, MACKWORTH, DERBY
WHEN: 4 March 2024 to 5 March 2024 WHERE: Lombard Street,
from its junction with Prince Charles Avenue to its junction with
Mayfair Crescent REASON: Carriageway works ALTERNATIVE
ROUTE: Mayfair Crescent – Muswell Road – Prince Charles Avenue
and the same in the opposite direction.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
BREEDON HILL ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 13 March 2024 to 15 March 2024 WHERE: Breedon Hill
Road, from its junction with Empress Road to its junction with Burton
Road REASON: Drainage works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Empress
Road – Stone Hill Road – Burton Road and the same in the opposite
direction
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
FORESTERS WAY, DERBY
WHEN: 25 March 2024 to 5 April 2024 WHERE: Foresters Way, from
its junction with Osmaston Park Road to the KFC roundabout
REASON: Carriageway works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Osmaston Park
Road – Sinfin Lane – Foresters Way
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
PITTAR STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 20 March 2024 WHERE: Pittar Street, between numbers
32 and 24 – a distance of approximately 20 metres REASON:
Drainage works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Pittar Street – Farm Street –
Sun Street – Woods Lane – Pittar Street and the same in the
opposite direction
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
MORLEY ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 7 March 2024 to 16 March 2024 WHERE: Morley Road, from
its junction with Acorn Way and Oakwood Drive to its junction with
Smalley Drive REASON: Carriageway works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
Oakwood Drive – Springwood Drive – Smalley Drive – Morley Road
and the same in the opposite direction.
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of
the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
SIDDALS ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 22 March 2024 to 12 April 2024 (Daily: 21:00 to 07:00
Only) WHERE: Siddals Road, at its junction with Station Approach
and Railway Terrace REASON: Construction works ALTERNATIVE
ROUTE: Railway Terrace – Midland Road – London Road – Canal
Street – Siddals Road and the same in the opposite direction. And
Siddals Road – Station Approach – The Cock Pitt – Traffic Street –
London Road. And London Road – Traffic Street. And Station
Approach – The Cock Pitt – Traffic Street – London Road. (Access to
Leeds Place maintained by Traffic Marshals at both closure points)
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the
affected length of road. The road will be re-opened as soon as the
