What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (U6195 Rosemary Lane, Flimwell)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County
Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which
will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Rosemary Lane – from the junction with B2087 Berners Hill to
the county border.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular
access for residents and to properties maintained whenever
possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A21(T)
London Road – B2087 High Street, Union Street, Broom Hill and
vice versa.
The Order commences 5 March 2024 and lasts for a period of
18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 5 March
2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7546 Buttons Lane, Wadhurst)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County
Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which
will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Buttons Lane – from the junction with U7546 Scrag Oak Lane
to the junction with U7546 Churchsettle Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular
access for residents and to properties maintained whenever
possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7548
Brinkers Lane, Darbys Lane – B2099 Ticehurst Road – C214
Stonegate Road–U7546 Churchsettle Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 2 March 2024 and lasts for a period of
18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 2 and
3 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7467 Eridge Road, Groombridge)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex
County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and
15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Eridge Road – from the junction with U7468 The Forstal to the
junction with U7467 Park Corner Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular
access for residents and to properties maintained whenever
possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7467
Park Corner Lane – C70 Broadwater Forest Lane – A26 Eridge
Road – U7468 The Forstal and vice versa.
The Order commences 4 March 2024 and lasts for a period of
18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between
4 and 8 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7840 Furnace Lane, Cowden)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County
Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this
notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will
temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Furnace Lane – from the junction with C461 Holtye Hill to the
county border.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular
access for residents and to properties maintained whenever
possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C461
Holtye Hill – A264 Holtye Road – C460 Shepherds Grove Lane,
Furnace Lane (Kent) and vice versa.
The Order commences 18 March 2024 and lasts for a period of
18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on
18 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7548 Darbys Lane/Brinkers Lane,
Wadhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)
Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County
Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this
notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will
temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Darbys Lane/Brinkers Lane – from the junction with U7546
Snape Lane to the junction with B2099 Moseham Hill.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular
access for residents and to properties maintained whenever
possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7547
Snape Lane – U7546 Riseden Road – C14 Tidebrook Road –
B2100 Mayfield Lane – B2099 Durgates, High Street, Lower
High Street, Moseham Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 18 March 2024 and lasts for a period of
18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on
18 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
