What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC ASHWELL 31

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of

the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, cyclists and vehicles from

using that length of Byway Open to All Traffic Ashwell 31, north section toward junction with Ashwell

15, for an approximate distance of 50m.

Alternative route: via Ashwell 15 and Claybush Road

The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place.

The section of Byway Open to All Traffic will be closed on or after 04 March 2024 for up to 2 days,

when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS FOOTWAY AND FOOTPATHS IN STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following length of footway ("the Footway") and footpaths ("the Footpaths"):-

1. the footway situated on the south and east sides of No.193 Ripon Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the western boundary of No.191 Ripon Road north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 43m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Ripon Road, the footpath fronting Nos.165-171 Ripon Road, the footpath situated on the west side of No.165 Ripon Road, the footpath situated to rear of Nos.165-169 Ripon Road, the footpath fronting Nos.219-221 Ripon Road, the footpath situated on the north side of No.173 Ripon Road, the footpath situated on the west and south sides of No.207 Ripon Road and the footpath situated on the north side of Nos.189-193 Ripon Road.

2. the footpath situated between No.47 and No.49 Ripon Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.49 Ripon Road westwards for a distance of approximately 40m.

An alternative route will be via the footpath fronting Nos.2-6 Ripon Road, the subway situated on the north side of Canterbury Way, the footpath situated on the west side of No.21 and No.29 Ripon Road and the footpath situated on the north side of Nos.29-35 Ripon Road.

3. the footpath situated between No.139 and No.141 Ripon Road, Stevenage from its junction with a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.141 Ripon Road westwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the east side of No.141 Ripon Road, the footway situated on the south side of Ripon Road, the footpath situated to the rear of Nos.149-153 Ripon Road and the footpath situated on the south side of No.153 Ripon Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footway and Footpaths.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 March 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footway and Footpaths.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. that length of Aston Lane, Aston/Stevenage from its junction with Stringers Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 234m.

An alternative route will be via Stingers Lane, Benington Road, Walkern Road, High Street, A602 (Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way) and Aston Lane.

2. that length of Astonbury Lane, Aston from its junction with Aston Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 239m.

An alternative route will be via Stingers Lane, Benington Road, Walkern Road, High Street, A602 Hooks Cross, Frogmore Hill and Astonbury Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

Broadwater Lane, Aston from its junction with Aston End Road south westwards to its junction with

Aston Lane, a distance of approximately 42m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Benington Road, Stringers Lane and Aston Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Totts Lane, Walkern from its junction with B1037 High Street south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Winters Lane, a distance of approximately 275m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B1037 High Street and Winters Lane.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the

Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bucklersbury, Hitchin from its junction with Tilehouse Street north eastwards to its junction with Market Place, a distance of approximately 152m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Tilehouse Street, Bridge Street, B656 Queen Street, Hermitage Road, Bancroft, High Street and Market Place.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Broadfield Lodge Farm Road, Rushden from its junction with Southern Green north westwards and south eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the following lengths of cycle track ("the Cycle Tracks"):-

1. the cycle track situated on the south side of A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, Stevenage from its junction with Brixham Close south westwards, north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 80m.

An alternative route will be via Brixham Close, Torquay Crescent, the cycle track situated beneath the Bridge Road West roundabout, the cycle track situated on west side of A1072 Gunnels Wood Road and the cycle track situated beneath A1072 Gunnels Wood Road.

2. the cycle track situated beneath Gresley Way, Stevenage from its junction with Edmonds Drive south westwards for a distance of approximately 100m.

An alternative route will be via Edmonds Drive, the cycle track situated beneath Gresley Way, the cycle track situated beneath Magpie Crescent and the cycle track situated on the west side of Gresley Way.

3. the cycle track situated beneath Meredith Road, Stevenage from a point 24 metres north west of its junction with A1155 Fairlands Way north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 531m.

An alternative route will be via the cycle track situated on the west side of A1155 Fairlands Way, the cycle track situated on the east side of Grace Way and the cycle track situated on the north side of 'Hampson Park Community Centre'.

4. the cycle track situated on the north side of B1037 Fairlands Way, Stevenage from its junction with Chepstow Close south westwards, north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 373m.

An alternative route will be via the cycle track sitated on the north side of B1037 Fairlands Way, B1037 Fairlands Way, Mobbsbury Way, Raleigh Crescent, the cycle track situated beneath A1155 Fairlands Way, the cycle track situated on the north west side of A1155 Fairlands Way and the cycle track situated beneath the A1155 Fairlands Way/Verity Way roundabout.

5. the cycle track situated beneath the A602 Broadhall Way/Valley Way roundabout, Stevenage from its junction with Leaves Spring south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 94m. An alternative route will be via Leaves Spring and the cycle track situated on the north side of A602 Broadhall Way.

6. the cycle track situated on the north east side of A602 Broadhall Way, Stevenage from its junction with Glenwood Close south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 244m. An alternative route will be via Glenwood Close, the cycle track situated on north east and south west sides of A602 Broadhall Way, the cycle track situated beneath the Shephall Way roundabout, A602 Broadhall Way, the cycle track situated beneath A602 Broadhall Way, Broadwater Lane, the cycle track situated on the south side of Gresley Way and Gresley Way.

7. the cycle track situated on the south side of Six Hills Way, Stevenage from a point 9 metres north west of its junction with Colestrete south westwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 444m.

An alternative route will be via the cycle track situated on the north side of Six Hills Way.

8. the cycle track situated on the west side of Derby Way, Stevenage from its junction with Derby Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 56m.

There is no alternative route available for pedal cycles when the works are being carried out. However pedal cycle access to properties along this cycle track will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Tracks. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 March 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Tracks.

1. that length of Bennetts Lane/Southern Green, Rushden from its junction with C5 (unnamed road) eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Church Lane, Bygrave from its junction with Ashwell Road eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length.

3. that length of Norton Mill Lane, Baldock from its junction with A507 North Road south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Norton Bury Lane, a distance of approximately 443m.

An alternative route will be via A507 (North Road/Station Road), Icknield Way, Norton Road, 5U1609 (unnamed road) and Norton Bury Lane.

4. that length of School Lane, Rushden from its junction with Bennetts Lane northwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

Road/Mardley Hill/Great North Road), B656 (Church Street/Link Road/Codicote Road/High Street),

Bury Lane, Nup End, Park Lane and Old Knebworth Lane.

The Order is needed because bridge works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 March 2024 for a period of up to

An alternative route will be via A602 Monkswood Way, Six Hills Way and Rockingham Way.

2. that length of Homestead Moat, Stevenage from its junction with Six Hills Way north westwards to its junction with Cuttys Lane, a distance of approximately 301m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of Weston Road, Weston from its junction with Calder Way south eastwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Damask Green Road, a distance of approximately 1397m.

An alternative route will be via Calder Way, Orwell Avenue, Great Ashby Way, Canterbury Way, A1072 Martins Way, A602 Hitchin Road, B197 (Graveley Road/High Street/Jacks Hill), Lannock Hill, Hitchin Road and Damask Green Road.

4. that length of Whitehouse Lane, St Pauls Walden from its junction with B651 Whitwell Road north westwards, south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Church Lane, a distance of approximately 316m.

An alternative route will be via B651 Whitwell Road and Church Lane. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

An alternative route will be via Woolgrove Road, Grove Road and A505 (Nightingale Road/Cambridge Road).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
